I am writing this message with a deep sense of gratitude to CNA Assistant Nurse Carmen Lawrence for incredible care she has given to my mother. She has shown me compassion to such a degree that I can have peace of mind when she is in her care. She not only cares for my mother as she deserves as human being, but also as well should be treated and cared for- with patience, especially when some need a little more of that natural skill that comes from the soul and cannot be taught through training. She has shown me that she is here to do her job, which comes from her heart as her top priority, I imagine we would all want to be treated as she treats her if we were in need of care when we reach her age, when we are elderly, or due to accidents that life presents us without warning at any age. May God bless her always for her extraordinary work at care facility. Sincerely and Thank you Francisca De la Rosa.

I initially chose a different neighboring facility for my mom. It was a horrible experience. In my desperation, I walked over to Gold Crest in tears. I was heartbroken after seeing my mom somewhere that didn’t feel right for her. Shameena, the lead receptionist, saw me and immediately comforted me. I remember thinking she might think I was crazy, but she welcomed me kindly and said “There is always a solution, my dear. Please have a seat”. To my surprise, she called the Administrator, and within minutes Charley came to the lobby herself. At the other facility, I had been trying to speak to the administrator for days. She took the time to listen to me, gave me a tour, and introduced me to Jessica from Admissions. I felt heard and understood. The very next day, I transferred my mom. My mom ended up having a wonderful experience! Nurse Manager Barnes and CNA Carmen were especially kind and attentive. Mark from rehab was exceptional. There are so many others who treated her with dignity and care. I am truly grateful to Gold Crest and the people who work there.

I want to take a moment to share my appreciation for the care my mom received at Gold Crest, particularly from several staff members who truly went above and beyond. A very special shout-out to Carmen, one of the CNAs, who truly stood out. Her kindness, patience, and genuine care did not go unnoticed, and she treated my relative with dignity and compassion, which meant so much to our family. Some of the CNAs were also wonderful and consistently helpful, and some of the nurses were attentive, responsive, and reassuring throughout her stay. I’d also like to recognize the physical therapy team. Thanks to their hard work, my mom improved significantly. They were gentle, empathetic, encouraging, and always brought positive energy to each session. I also want to note, in the spirit of honesty, that there were occasional challenges with supply availability, and a few staff interactions could have been more warm and patient. I share this constructively, with the hope that continued improvements are made for the benefit of future residents and families. Thank you to the entire team for the care and support you provided.
