A few weeks ago, I was praying about finding a place for my younger brother to move to where, at age 72, he could live independently but have all his needs met. A few days later, the word “Glenmoore” popped into my head!<br><br>My husband and I had lived at Glenmoore Gracious Living in Happy Valley, Oregon for a short time in 2019 and 2020, just before the Covid lockdown, and we really enjoyed it. I contacted Glenmoore through their website, and a few days later, we were moving him in!<br><br>My brother just loves it at Glenmoore! He, especially, likes visiting with the other residents in the dining room at mealtimes, and hearing their life stories. He appreciates having three delicious, nutritious meals each day served in the large dining room and the chance to get to know many of the residents.<br><br>But, most of all, he loves eating a free dish of soft ice cream several times a day at the ice cream cone machine! He hopes to enjoy the remaining years of his life at Glenmoore!

Wow! What an amazing community! Lanelle invited us for a great lunch (chef was awesome) and a wonderful tour. They take a lot of pride in their facility, cleanliness, an amazing theater, and activity center. The residents were smiling and engaging with each other and it’s just a very active community with lots to offer! If you’re looking for your parents or just would love some more information for yourself I highly recommend you reach out to Lanelle, a great resource for you!

I was getting really concerned about my Mom’s (Patricia) lack of social interaction. She has been living with my husband and I. 3 months ago she and I decided together to move her in Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living. Glenmoore is just what the name implies. Gracious! The staff has been so welcoming from the beginning. Both the Managers and also the Residents. Her Studio apartment is clean and comfy. The bathroom is quite large. There is also a good sized patio for her furniture and flowers. Housekeeping comes once a week. Her apartment is always clean when I visit. 3 meals are also provided every day and snacks are always available. I have dined with her many times and the choices are many and the food delicious 😋. I can’t think of any diet that would not be accommodated. There are activities every day including fitness classes that my mom participates in. The Beauty Salon is also a plus for her and she goes regularly. There are more amenities that I have not listed. This is definitely a welcoming community that does not feel like a hotel. Very lovely and quiet place. Friendly and extremely helpful staff and pleasant residents. Chef Omar was particularly willing to accommodate my diet restrictions.
