Glenfields Living with Care is a 108-bed skilled nursing facility in Glencoe, Minnesota, offering care for individuals who can no longer live independently and need daily skilled nursing care, as well as transitional care for those recovering from illness or major surgery who need skilled nursing care and daily physical and/or occupational therapy.
The facility's staff includes nursing, social services, dietary, activities, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and business services personnel, all of whom participate in annual Alzheimer's disease and dementia training. Residents benefit from individualized care and strong relationships built with the caring staff and volunteers. A physician rounds on residents each weekday and is available whenever health concerns such as acute pain or sudden changes in vital signs arise.
Rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy are available Monday through Saturday in a dedicated rehabilitation gym. Residents enjoy convenient access to medical services on the Glencoe campus, including the emergency room, acute care unit, transitional care unit, medical imaging and laboratory in the hospital, as well as primary care and specialist physicians at the Glencoe Clinic. Wheelchair transportation is provided for residents with appointments in the clinic or hospital.
The community features cozy spaces and walking paths, including the Helping Hands Garden and Prairie Trail. Visitors are welcome anytime at the facility. All Glencoe Regional Health facilities and grounds maintain a tobacco-free environment for the health of residents, visitors, patients, and employees.
