I have been visiting the center for a year and a half and have enjoyed my visits. There is a community room where people can visit with family and friends. You can make alot of new friends that are there for the same reasons you are. You do as they say you get better faster and get to leave. The residents and staff there are rooting for you to get better. The residents push each other and the staff is top notch one of the best Rehabilitation centers around. I know it's not your ideal situation but don't pout be receptive have an i can do it attitude and do what they tell you, make some friends and make the best of the situation don't fight them they want to see you get better and so they're not picking on you they are pushing for you to do your best so you can get out.

I had a wonderful experience at Glen Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after my total hip replacement surgery. From the moment I arrived until the day I went home, I was treated with kindness, compassion, and respect. The nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, aides, housekeeping staff, and everyone I met were professional, caring, and always willing to help. They encouraged me every step of the way and made me feel safe and supported during my recovery. Because of their excellent care and dedication, I made great progress. I arrived needing a lot of help, and I was able to return home walking with much more confidence and without the pain I had before surgery. I am truly grateful to everyone at Glen Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their hard work, patience, and caring hearts. Thank you for making a challenging time so much easier. I highly recommend this rehabilitation center to anyone who needs skilled, compassionate care.

After spending a month in a Long Island hospital for an illness, we chose the Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for my 94 yr old dad’s rehabilitation. He was on oxygen, needed physical therapy as well as continued medical treatment. The Cardiopulmonary program was an essential piece of his overall recovery. The team was attentive and caring, constantly monitoring his oxygen levels to progressively wean him off the oxygen completely. The Physical and Occupational therapists worked diligently with my dad to regain his strength and mobility to the point of using a walker alone. The Medical staff including the Doctors, RN’s, LPN’s and the aides ALL gave him the care needed to help regain his health and return home. All this didn’t come without hard work on the part of the staff. Each team’s expertise, close monitoring and encouragement made it happen. Their compassion and professionalism showed everyday!! In my experience I can tell you EVERYONE at the center will make every effort to provide the best outcome for each patient. I highly recommend the Center and their programs for anyone seeking exceptional rehabilitation care.

I was not supposed to come to Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehab.i lost my spot closer go home; it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I found myself in a wonderful facility with a Cardiopulmonary program that helped in so many ways. I got off oxygen, I now walk with a cane only when needed, I can take care or myself better than I could ever have expected! I made friend that I hope to see again. Everyone from top to bottom did a wonderful job. I 100 percent would recommend Glen Cove Center rehab with it’s wonderful programs to anyone in need of Cardiopulmonary or regular rehab.

Just left Glen cove Rehab Center a few days ago. Lots of problems at this facility. Food pretty awful. Served cold most days and often given high carb meals, even though I’m diabetic. The rooms and bathrooms were old and dingy! The daytime aides, for the most part, were decent, but the night time aides, not so much. The wait times for them to answer the call bells just to use the bathroom, was out of control. Tiki, the facility clerk was a ray of sunshine, anlways willing to help in anny way she could. Anna from housekeeping was so pleasant and helpful towards the patients. My physical therapy team, Amanda and EJ were kind and caring. I was in a lot of pain, but they inspired and encouraged me to do the PT. On the other hand, Andrew the head of PT, did not know how to speak to people and spoke to me like a child being scolded! The best people there were the nursing team! They were overworked, understaffed and unappreciated! Ennis, Alex and Julia were exceptional, so dedicated and on top of their game! They did not walk out of your room and just forget about you! They followed through with the task at hand every time! They all had the perfect blend of being hard workers, compassionate and empathetic. If not for them, I would never have been able “to do my time” in that facility! Melissa, a night time nurse, was kind and caring too. Again, my kudos goes to the nursing staff. They bear the brunt of the burden of each day, with very little recognition! Some serious changes need to happen at this facility, because as of right now, they are headed in one direction, a downward spiral!
