We moved in mid-July. We really love our newly revonated cottage, but more than that, our welcoming neighbors and the friendly, helpful staff. I love to cook, so appreciate the modern, spacious kitchen, but it is also fun to sample the different restaurant options, esp. to meet other residents to get better acquainted . We chose this community based on its commitment to celebrating diversity.<br>The only hard part of moving here is there are so many choices of enjoyable and educational activities, it is hard to finish our unpacking!<br>Our small dog has met new friends too, both people and other dogs, and loves the oilff-leash dog park with its supply of balls and toys.<br>Kim Knecht, Marketing, was especially helpful in demonstrating the Village's hospitality and shepherding us through the whole decision-making and application process.

Simply fantastic! Did lots of research for a place where we could be comfortable, safe and accepted. As a gay couple of 45 years, finding such a place can be a challenge. Many places seem to be accepting but that acceptance may also depend upon being invisible. Friendship Village puts their words into action. Everybody, regardless of circumstances, seems to not only be welcomed but celebrated. We just joined the wait list of "Future Friends" and are eagerly awaiting our turn to fully integrate into the community.

As a future resident, I am impressed and heartened at the thorough introduction to FVT from administration, staff and residents. We feel very welcome, and are already sampling the excellent dining, fitness center, thought provoking educational groups and inspiring art center.

I have been familiar with Friendship Village off and on for about 15 years, but it had been a while since I visited. Tonight I stopped in and I was blown away with the ability for the community to make the changes it has, yet still maintain the warm and welcoming environment it has become known for! After a quick stop at the Marketing office, my wife and I decided we would try out the Starfire Restaurant and Rooftop Brewery, since we heard that one of their brews just won a Phoenix magazine award. We decided to sit at the bar, and Joseph and Micheala treated us like gold! The selection of brews was fantastic (and delicious) and we happened to visit on prime rib night, which is a double win! I chose the prime rib, which was juicy and perfect, and my wife went with the salmon. Both of us agreed that the "Forget-Me-Not" was our drink of choice. All in all it was a fantastic experience, and Fabio has a great team there that makes him look good. I already knew they took wonderful care of their residents, but the amenities are the icing on the cake!
