I came to Richfield for rehab when I was discharged from LewisGale and wasn't sure how to feel. I've had some bad experiences at other facilities. After admitting here, I've never been treated so kindly as I have here. Very compassionate staff. I'm close to finishing my stay here, but would encourage anyone who had the chance to come here. It's been a very uplifting experience and I've felt at home. I got great therapy. The food was very good. If I need to again, I would come back here in a hurry! So many of the nurses, particularly Morgan, were so nice.

I would not recommend this facility. My mother is in the Rehabilitation center and I've now complained twice over a RN and her assistant on how they are treating patients on this floor. When someone is in need after they rang for a nurse and show up 45 minutes later, stating they will come back if they have time.

I have lived at Richfield Living Retirement Community in an independent apartment building the past two years. I love the landscaped campus. The staff is friendly, helpful and everything is well maintained and clean! Activities are varied and the wellness center has the best gym! Our restaurant has great food at affordable prices. This was the perfect move for me.

I would not recommend putting my worst enemy in this nursing home. The nursing staff was horrible and barely checked on patients. My grandmother was a resident there for years and was almost killed. The nursing home staff did not make any attempt to contact family or EMS when her blood pressure was 70/40 and continued to drop. She had a UTI which lead to septic shock. She was admitted to the hospital for five days after family had to request EMS to transport her and provide care. Nurse Lulu if that's what you want to call her was a disgrace and should be disbarred. Adult Social Worker Todd was a bigger joke and incompetent to do tie his shoes let alone do his job. This place was ran horribly from top to bottom. This place is a big reason why my grandmother has not and will not recover from a lack of treatment. Their response below to my initial comment or review. This response is the same pedestrian excuse I was given during an arranged meeting with this so called nursing home. They almost killed my grandmother with a lack of care. I thought nurses took an oath to treat patients or people, apparently not. This is why 2-3 nurses or facility workers in the meeting were crying being they knew the lack of treatment they provided was well below par. The response just now is beyond pathetic and cowardly. This is why nursing homes have a horrible name. This is why I had my grandmother moved. This is why my grandmother was robbed years of her life, as she is currently on her death bed not even four months later.

I have a friend whose mom is now a resident at Richfield. Her care is lacking. When she first arrived in the rehab facility, she was left without water for 24 hours. If her family had not been with her, she would have required hospitalization. She has been left lying in urine. Now she has been moved from the rehab facility, and care and cleanliness is still lacking. More than once, she has sat past noon awaiting someone to assist in bathing her. The corners of the bathroom are full of lint and debris and have to be cleaned by her relatives. I pray I never have to rely on this facility in my old age. It truly is a never-ending place of horrors and lack of care.
