Our mother (Norma I.) was placed at the facility in June 2025. During her FIRST weekend there, her phone was taken away, she was moved to a room with no window coverings and no bathroom. A potty chair was not provided. She was not given her prescribed medications. My sister and I tried to reach mom multiple times during the weekend and her phone went to voice mail. We were unable to reach her for over 48 hours! We were extremely concerned. I left a message with the administrator (Tyisha) and did not receive a call back. She later explained that she had an emergency and was not in the office over the weekend... she apparently left no one in charge. Tyisha later explained that mom threw her phone, using it as "a weapon". Mom's phone is her most coveted possession?? The staff further stated that mom bit a staff member. Mom has no bottom teeth?? If she had received her medications, she would have been in a much better state. When my sister went to visit mom, she was very upset by the state our mom was in. Tyisha told my sister that she should find another place for Mom. My sister said, I would like to take her out of here today. Tyisha agreed that would be a good idea. My sister and I paid the facility $4,500 on June 26, 2025 for her first month stay. Tyisha told me verbally, as well as two other people, that she would issue us a full refund due to the unfortunate issues that occurred over the weekend. After not getting a response for about three weeks, I called Tyisha and left her numerous voice mail messages about the status of our refund. Apparently, she was having another emergency and did not return my calls. After a couple months, I was able to get her on the phone. She said that I had signed a contract that requires 14 days notice to vacate. I said, fine, please send me our prorated refund. This is November 20, 2025, and SHE HAS NOT ISSUED US A REFUND!! They have our entire $4,500, and our mother was there less than 5 days!!! Beware of doing business with this organization.

We are so grateful to have found Forsyth Senior Estates. Every aspect of the care they provide combines professionalism with caring, individual attention for my family member. The staff is friendly, warm, and experienced. My family member was in the earlier small, family care home and has moved with the other residents to the larger facility. Each setting is comfortable and provides social interaction. The physical plant could use some upgrades, which I believe are in process.

I have had an excellent experience with Forsyth Senior Estates and Rehabilitation. The facility provides a loving and family-oriented atmosphere. My husband has been there since November 2024 and has received outstanding care. Everyone from the executive director, caregivers, personal assistants, and other staff are supportive and ensure my husband is well cared for. Forsyth Senior Estates' unwavering caretaking makes me feel assured that he is in good hands when I'm not there to check on him. I receive prompt communication regarding my spouse's well-being, and when I have questions, the ED responds promptly.
