My father chose to spend the last years of his life at the Forest City Personal Care home.<br>This was a big decision for him, and us, but ultimately he chose to move there because he needed help and support that he could get at the Forest City Personal Care Community.<br>The years that my father spent at FCPC rejuvenated him. There he found a caring community of people he could count on. The staff quickly became friends, knowing him as an individual not a “patient” or just a “resident”. Each member of the staff had their own relationship with my father, and supported a healthy lifestyle for him medically, emotionally and socially. They professionally and carefully administered his daily medicines, provided snacks, organized and facilitated fun activities and adhered to routines that encouraged my father’s independence and fostered a safe, engaging, respectful home.<br>The residents in the community also became friends, often looking for my father and telling him that he was missed at dinner ( if he didn’t eat in the dining room), writing him get well cards when he was in the hospital, celebrating birthdays and holidays, or just sharing a good slice of pie together.<br>The relationships my father made at FCPC revived my father and gave him a”life” again after my mother’s passing.<br>For us, the family, the staff has always been communicative, transparent and supportive.<br>In the times that we couldn’t get to dad, they were there. They listened to my dad’s (and our) concerns (and complaints) and addressed them directly. This included switching out multiple beds so he could be comfortable, building multiple “desks” for my father to write his letters, collecting and delivering his stacks of mail and helping him unpack his endless delivery of Amazon packages.<br>For the holiday, they even bought and prepared special foods that my father craved!!<br>Our family was able to happily celebrate big and small celebrations with dad and all his friends at the FCPC.<br>I will forever be grateful to the FCPC for the quality of care, understanding, friendship, love and respect they gave my father and our family during his final years. Their work is not just a job to them, it is their calling, their life’s work and a labor of love for those who truly need it!

Our family truly cannot say enough about the incredible staff at Forest City Personal Care. From day one, they have treated her like she is one of their own. The level of compassion, patience, and genuine love they show her is far beyond what we ever expected — it’s not just a job to them, it’s a calling.<br><br>They are attentive, professional, and consistently go above and beyond in every possible way. They make sure she receives all of her medications on time, monitor her closely, and ensure she is always safe and comfortable. But what means even more are the little personal touches — like taking the time to sit and talk with her, truly listen to her, and even paint her nails to make her feel special and cared for. Those moments speak volumes about who they are.<br><br>Communication with our family has been outstanding, and we always feel informed and included. Knowing she is not only well cared for but genuinely loved and respected gives us complete peace of mind.<br><br>We are beyond grateful for the dedication, heart, and tireless work this amazing team puts in every single day. They are truly exceptional, and we feel blessed to have them caring for our mom.

Forest City Personal Care is a great place! The staff is super nice, the place is always clean, and there are lots of fun things to do. I enjoy visiting my grandmother here and taking part in all of their wonderful activities.
