First Light has done a superb job helping me to look after my wife, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and atrial fibrillation for the past few years. These are difficult decisions, and the owners of the company, Jessie and Josh Mullin, lead a highly trained and professional staff. From the outset, they were clearly determined to find a care giver who interacted beautifully with my wife, and they found the perfect match. She was personally interested in my wife, and they became friends. I felt I could leave the house because she was in such good hands. The office staff also responded like family. No one could be more grateful to First Light.

FirstLight Homecare staff has been providing home care for my wife for a bit over two years. They have always been proficient, personable and professional. These caregivers constantly engage her in conversation as they help her with daily needs and activities. The support / administrative staff are likewise pleasant and helpful ensuring consistent staffing / coverage that adapts to any changing circumstances. 2 regular caregivers were outstanding with great heart and empathy caring for my terminally ill husband. Office was difficult to work with and lacked empathy for care needs. Did not communicate what we could expect for services, or when to expect start of services. Did not always communicate or consult with us when changes in caregiver and hours were made. Would not recommend the company.

Mom loved the caregivers during the more than 12 months of service she received before she moved out of Maine. They were attentive, preparing daily meals and helping with light housekeeping as well as chores such as picking up prescriptions from the pharmacy. The owners and office help were very easy to work with. Highly recommend.
