I cannot say enough positive things about FirstLight Home Care. I was in a very urgent situation to find home health care for my parents and I was so lucky to have found Ron at FirstLight. He was extremely helpful and kind in his guidance and quick assistance in setting up assessment visits for his team and us. The team of administrators, nurses, and aides at FirstLight are top notch and had our best interest in mind. I highly recommend FirstLight to anyone looking for home health care for their aging parents/relatives. They earned my trust and respect in their approach to new patients and treated us with such kindness and care, it made all the difference in a very stressful situation. They are fantastic!

My father lived in a local assisted living community for over six years. During that time we enlisted the services of FirstLight Home Care for extra hands-on help and companionship for Dad. Every caregiver from FirstLight was top-notch in their work ethic, elder care knowledge, their willingness to work with Dad's family, and especially in their care for Dad. Our most recent caregiver was Jessica, who was with Dad during the last six months of his life. Even though she is younger than most of the caregivers we have worked with, she is extremely intuitive, wise beyond her years, and adept in elder care, having taken care of her own grandparents. My siblings and I could always breathe easy when Jessica was with Dad as we were confident that she had everything under control. She is punctual, conscientious and an invaluable employee and caregiver. Also, thanks to the FirstLight staff who was always easy to work and communicate with.

We have had caregivers from FirstLight since the beginning of 2025. My husband has Alzheimer disease and other medical issues. Lori is with us 3 days a week since January. She always has a smiling face and positive attitude. She is compassionate, caring, capable and goes above and beyond our expectations. Jasmari has only been with us a short time but she is also very compassionate and capable. Both have become part of our family. My husband looks forward to them coming. I highly recommend FirstLight. They work diligently to match client and caregiver.

I would definitely recommend First Light for anyone’s elderly parent. Lori engages our mom in exciting activities, has fun conversations, and goes the extra mile to keep us updated with everything that is happening . Lori is a special person who is kind to every single person in the assisted living home. Many people comment on her positivity and bubbly personality . ..including the staff. We are lucky to have Lori there with our mom when we are at work.

When it became clear that my wife's illness--the debilitating disease of ALS--would require home caregivers, I began to investigate several companies in the area. Quickly it became clear that First Light was the best possible choice. In early conversations with them I was both impressed and moved by their compassion and the way they saw their clients as people, not cases: people whose stories, life journeys, and personhood they had in view and kept in view, from the first encounter. Once care was under way, we felt extremely fortunate in the skills of the caregivers and with the warm and kind way they helped us move through the challenges of the day. In a number of cases it is not an exaggeration to say that over time the caregivers became members of the family, and that made the care so rich in personal as well as professional ways. On many occasions I was particularly grateful for the quickness and nimbleness of administrative response to unforeseen situations that would arise. As our challenges changed, so too did the company's response, always meeting our needs with care, concern, and understanding, and never phased by the unforeseen. First Light in general, and our care team in particular, made it possible for my wife to live out her last months at home with comfort and grace. They are wonderful in their skill and dear in their compassion. I am especially grateful that I also know them as friends in the inner family circle. Their presence in our journey through debilitating illness was nothing short of a blessing, day in and day out.
