Knowing that my mom doesn't want to be here but that they treat her like she needs to be there allows me to sleep at night until my mom is ready to come home. I trust this facility and recommend it for anyone who needs either a temporary or possibly long term solution for a relative or loved one. This place is great!

After my husband had a large stroke and needed continued therapy, there was no doubt in my mind where I was going to send him to receive care. My mom had multiple stays at FOC, Ridgewood over the course of the last few years and each time she came home more mobile and healthier than all of her specialists thought was possible. During my husbands one month stay at Kessler he was given the news that IF he ever walked again if would take 3-5 years for his body to be heal enough and receive enough therapy to get him on his feet. Well, FOC helped him defy those odds and he came home walking 40 feet with a cane and assistance in just one month. We were pleased with the care, love and attention that he received that we extended his stay for an additional three weeks. Robin, the administrator is responsive, compassionate and caring and truly wants the best for your loved one. Treating each patient like they are her own family. These characteristics are present in her staff as well. My husbands therapists: Mister, MaryLou, Ben and Ron pushed him to make the impossible, possible. His primary nurse Nelly never missed a beat and was right by his side for everything he needed and wanted, anticipating his needs before he needed to ask. His aide, Val is a needle in a haystack, always smiling and bringing her sense of humor and knowledge to my husband and our family and going above and beyond for all of us Without, FOC our family would have two family members that missed out on having the quality of life they deserve

From my Mom, Rita Kasey: There are hardly words to describe the care I received for the 3 months I was at Family Of Caring Ridgewood! Mary Lou in PT was above and beyond! She helped me to exercise several times daily and ultimately walk out of there without braces!! She gave me courage and a belief in myself to be able. Shannon is an incredible OT, with much encouragement toward me to regain strength in my arms and hands again! The staff in general was so helpful, kind and supportive. I met a lot of wonderful friends and had lots of laughs with so many. Thank you to all, and God Bless you for your kindness and support. Love you all and am so grateful. Love, Rita Kasney

Family of Caring took excellent care of my family member when he was there. He was in a really tough situation and everyone at FoC went above and beyond to help him as much as possible. Everyone was really nice and bent over backwards to help him with anything he needed. Thank you to all the staff, aides, nurses, PT/OT, admin, culinary, reception, etc for helping my family when we needed it most. We are very grateful.

Family of Caring is literally our second home. The care they have given our Dad is more than amazing. If we could give it more than five stars, we would. Each and every employee has gone far and beyond for him. Our Dad has a brain injury and therefore cannot advocate for himself-making it even more important that he is well-cared for. It is quite evident he is! He is showered, out of bed and ready to go each morning to begin OT and PT. These programs work together everyday (6 days a week) for close to two hours. We are so proud of his work with them and he is now standing and taking his first step! (We were told at his last memory care facility this would not happen and mentioned hospice) The administrator is always there to answer even the smallest question. The Dr and nurses, as well. My favorite thing? The aides are consistent. He has the same aide throughout the day (at night the evening aide pops in) They all treat him like he’s their own Dad, and continue to cheer him on during his recovery. Family of Caring is truly a family who cares. Thank you!
