Do not take your loved one here! Totally incompetent! They removed a previous review i posted about my Grandma falling outside the facility because of a nonfunctioning door alarm when the temperature was 17 degrees outside and my family suing because she suffered hypothermia and a broken arm because of it! They do not want to take responsibility for anything because they are corporate run and all about money! Thats why they removed my previous post- go figure!

I can’t find my original post. I was asked by Allie, the administrator to take it down. Of course I won’t.

Been here since mid-January (I go home today!!) and I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. It was the only place near my family with a bed for me—still on IV antibiotics. Those same antibiotics that probably saved my life that I missed twice because the nurse “decided not to come in.”

When first arrived I was bed bound. I sat in waste for over two hours and no one would answer the call light. I finally used my phone and called in from an outside line to get help. When Allie asked me who I gave her name and was then lied to and told no one by that name had worked here. Then they had a ghost that would occasionally go down the hall wearing bad wigs and carrying a pink shoulder bag with that name on her name tag. When the State of Illinois called me about my complaint and I told them what Allie had told me about that CNA never working here the state omnibus person said “that’s funny because we have had other people complain about that same person.”

Gutters falling off buildings, needs a new roof, sidewalks so broken up there is no possible way to go outside with either a wheelchair or walker. Allie said gutters would be repaired the same day she asked me to take down my review—all that happened was more gutters were pulled down.

Friend I met here complained her safety arms on toilet were broken. No one would repair. She fell here and broke two ribs. Upon her emergency stay in the hospital they miraculously repaired the toilet.

My brother had to re-wire my moms TV (yes my mother was in room with me until we could move her somewhere better) because TV plug was broken off

The food is AWFUL Ask about their shepherds pie (I.e. dog food). Food comes out ice cold, especially breakfast. Just one example!!

State inspectors were here one week and the place ran totally different. All CNAs wore gait belts (which they never actually use), water was refilled, employee’s dogs were not brought to work with them, etc. as soon as state left it returned to their standard operating conditions.

My mother also fell here. She has dementia and tried to go to bathroom by herself as no one answered her call light. We bought a wheelchair alarm and brought it here to be used. When asked why they didn’t put it on her chair they said we told them to just hold on to it until she was moved. Does that make any sense when my sister went out and bought it and brought it here???…..to just sit in the box in the nurse’s office???

Can’t begin to count the number of times the CNA complains because there are either just one person to handle an entire hall (about 30 patients) or only three on duty to cover all FOUR halls (about 100 patients). They are to cheap to call in help when people call off!

There are some CNAs that are a joy and work their butts off! They are not appreciated and clearly not paid in proportion to their skill and empathy!

Feel free to message me (Facebook) and I will gladly talk. If you care at all DO NOT put anyone here!

Well it's pretty nice and clean on the inside and it's cleaned thoroughly every day out in the bedroom and bathrooms and als their dinning area is always clean and their janitors are always their and working on the whole entireie inside is always very. Clean and the same are always busy taking care of their parents first and foremost and the food is about a 3 to a 3 and a half on their cooking and that the nurses are always their and their CNAS are for the most part their and doing their job greatly and I really do appreciate all of the staffs help and with all of that said I'm giving the entire complex of the ever care nursing home a B plus
