I am writing this one-star review based on my grandmother’s ongoing experience as a resident at this assisted living facility.<br><br>My grandmother had a fall and had to call 911 herself because the emergency alert system was left unplugged and non-functional. She spent a considerable amount of time on the floor calling for help. If her phone had not been accessible we don’t know how long she would have been left there.<br><br>One evening, she was speaking with one of the caregivers about a concern that she was having with her heart. She was able to calmly explain what was going on, and the caregiver replied with “what do you want me to do about it?” She had to direct the calling of 911 to get the help that she needed.<br><br>Staff have administered her medications without knowing what the medications were or who had prescribed them. On other occasions they have gone days without administering her medication‘s at all.<br><br>She has gone multiple days without receiving a bath or proper hygiene assistance, leaving her in a dirty and uncomfortable state.<br><br>The facility itself is poorly maintained: floors are not regularly swept or mopped, and there is a persistent strong odor of urine throughout the building.<br><br>After hours, caregivers frequently sit in common areas watching television at high volume while having visitors, which disturbs residents and prevents them from resting.<br><br>When family members raised these serious concerns with the owner, he stated directly that he is “running a business,” and his approach to my grandmother’s care reflects that this is treated primarily as a profit-driven operation rather than a place focused on resident well-being.<br><br>These repeated instances of inadequate supervision, poor hygiene practices, facility uncleanliness, disruptive behavior by staff, and apparent lack of priority on resident safety and dignity demonstrate a pattern of neglect that is unacceptable in any assisted living setting. I strongly recommend that families carefully consider other options and visit frequently if a loved one is placed here.
