I was taking care of him a senior terminal man for 3 years before I was no longer able to care for him so he had to move. He went to emerson his TMG/Iris caseworker found this place for him. They were absolutely wonderful. The day they came to move him.But after that, it was completely downhill. Montana, the house owner refuses, to answer my phone calls or text messages when we want to come visit, he tells the staff to call the police on us! This last time we went on memorial day.He did call the police! I proved him to be an utter liar and he lost all credibility with the police. Every time we were there prior I would ask for a secondary phone number to call, and I was always told there was none. The police were able to get montana to give me a secondary phone number finally after five months of dealing with threats from him and getting the runaround. Bobby then senior I used to take care of is basically on a meat diet. He is diabetic. And it seems like the only thing they ever feed him is chicken! He doesn't get any frits and vegetables except for a half a banana, one time, we were there. The other two residents have their own tables to which they eat at. This was supposed to be a better place for bobby. As he only lived with myself and mine 77 year old mother in my house. Emerson was supposed to be a facility, an adult family home where he would have more companionship with other residents and more staff. They're all separated into their own little kitchen areas by the staff they do not have meals together. There are no house fun days where anything! Bobby basically has his own apartment in there's ten room eight bathroom 1.3 million dollar beautiful house. His refrigerator and freezer are completely empty. They do not allow him snacks of any kind in his room even though his little "apartment" has a kitchen sink refrigerator/ freezer and cabinet space and counter space. He pays out of pocket over $1,200 promotes and our tax dollars pay almost $9,000 per month for him to be in that facility. When my mother and I were taking care of bobby, we were only allowed just over $1,000 per month to care for him. We were allowed 17.5 hours per week of care between the two of us.But this facility is somehow allotted 6 hours per day with staff members who don't even speak english! From what we've seen, the 10 room house has only 3 residence where they get the abundance of their money from and the other seven rooms are given to immigrants who can't speak any english at all or who can barely speak english. Bobby is not very happy at this place. He wants to come back to my house. But unfortunately, I cannot hear for him.We have stairs and bobby can't get in and out of the house quickly or easily. They keep promising him a cat. That would be a house cat, but they keep going back their promise. They bought this 84 year old a $1,900 desktop computer, but they have not showed him how to use it.And they intend on keeping it for the facility when bobby eventually succumbs to his terminal diagnosis. They took his cell phone that I sent him with.Nobody seems to know where it is. They keep taking my phone number away from him. So he cannot call me when he wants to when he asks to use one of their phones to call me, they tell him "not now, in a little bit" but they never come back with a phone that he can use to call me on. They bought him 4 brand new pairs of jeans that cost over $40 each! Bobby hasn't worn jeans in almost four years! They seem to be just spending his money on nonsense. They won't allow the only two people in his life which is me and my mother to come visit him when we are going to be in town. They hassle us when we do show up by standing in his doorway or right outside his open doorway listening to our conversations, videoing us and our conversations with bobby. We were able to talk to 1 of the other residents who was also not very happy to be there because of pretty much the same reasons I write about here. If you are considering this place for your family member, i implore you to please look elsewhere!!
