My Uncle was a resident of Madison Health and Rehab for a short time. At the time of his transfer they had packed up only about a 1/4 of the clothing he had at the facility causing us to have to go out and buy him new items. Upon speaking to them when he was transferred they were to find remaining clothing and call me back with a resolution with the missing pieces. After multiple attempts to call and messages left, no one will call me back to come to some sort of resolution or compensation for them misplacing his clothing items. I received a response from the facility to email my complaint which I did the next day. It has been about a week and I have yet to receive a response and I still have not received any return calls. A complaint was filed with the BBB.

No. No no no no no no. Don't send people you love there, don't go there yourself, don't even send people you HATE there. I'm sure there's a line somewhere in the Geneva Conventions about this place.

They couldn't be bothered to order medicine before I got there. Every time I needed my meds after that, they were late, sometimes by as much as two and a half hours after I pressed the call button to ask for them.

They lost my meals, there were days I barely ate anything as a result. Never changed sheets, they ran out of linens on Sunday, and they ran out of paper towels in the bathroom. That's not the end of the world, but the fact that it took them several hours to get more shows how poorly run the place was. There I was, laying in dirty sheets and blankets, for days, because they couldn't be bothered to fix it.

Finally, I demanded to leave. I was told, coming in, that when I was ready to leave, the place would arrange for a ride home - insurance would cover it. Turns out that was a big NOPE. I had to pay for an Uber out of my own pocket, but by that time, I would have paid double to leave. I gave them my debit card, so they could arrange the ride for me, and two days later, I noticed an UberEats charge on my account... because why not steal from me, on top of everything else?

In short, there are easier, quicker, and far more humane ways to kill your enemies. Sending them here would certainly be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Good place for rehab. Most staff professional and nice. They are somewhat under staffed and the food is not all that great.

My mother was sent to the Madison Health and Rehab Center at 110 Belmont Rd Madison on friday Jan 16th 2026 From the Meriter Hospital at 202 S Park St, Madison. They put her in a room which had no heating and the washroom was shared with 2 rooms. They did not give her the Pregabalin medication stating that they don't have it and they are trying to get it soon. The staff was very very rude.Next day on Jan 17th saturday 2026 morning my mother called me stating that she's been ringing the bell since 9 am and no one is answering to lay her down into the bed. I called their office several times and then at 11 am somebody showed up to assist. In the afternoon she asked for the same med(pregabalin) and they still don't have that. I visited her around 8 pm for dinner and the staff told that the office is closed and they still dont have the medication.Next day on Jan 18th at 8 am my mother called me and said that her sugar is very high and there is no one to give her the meds or insulin. I panicked and reached there around 9 am and saw that she almost passed out on the bed and she pooped in her diapers because the washroom was locked from inside. Her sugar was very high at 375 and she was showing the withdrawal symptoms because they did not give her the pain medication - pregabalin and no insulin was given to her.I simply brought her back home and reported the same to 911. My mother could have died or gotten into worse condition. She was not safe in that facility. I simply want this incident reported so that this facility should be closed down ASAP and my mother should not be charged via her insurance for putting her life at High Risk. This trauma can never be healed from our lives because of this facility's negligence. They almost killed my mother. CLOSE DOWN THIS FACILITY ASAP. NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY.

While the staff are friendly I'm not sure anyone communicates. Between all the staff working with my mom no one recognized a problem and it almost killed her. I would never let any family member go here again.
