Food prep is terrible to say the least. The tray that your meal is served on are dirty and stained, the glasses are all stained, food is barely warm upon arrival. Don't expect to receive what is on the menu because it's rarely what it is supposed to be there. Always a staff shortage leaving at time 2 CNA caring for over 20 residents. 20-30 residents share 1 shower room. Dirty laundry carts and garbage cans are in the hallways of residents. Corporate has eliminated Admission Counselor, Activity Aide, Human Resource Dietary Staff forcing others to take on extra duties with no compensation. It took me 9 months to get a closet door hung in my room. There is NO HEAT in resident's bathrooms. Smoke detectors have been removed from resident's rooms. The window curtains in the Resident's rooms have not been removed and cleaned in over 8 years. There is only 1 Doctor that covers the whole facility. If you choose to take your loved one outside to see their doctor you must pay out of pocket Funding has cut sharply into Activities leaving almost nothing they can offer to residents. In the event that you must find a place for your loved one PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR THEIR BENEFIT.

The only reason why I’m giving a 2 star review is because there was only 1 LPN who was absolutely wonderful towards my family member who was in their care. She went above and beyond! I also met 3 of their employees who were completing PT with my mother, and one of their house keepers who was nothing but kind. The encounters with staff were rude, defiant and insensitive towards my loved one, and their other residents and that just hits you differently when it’s someone you love deeply and wholeheartedly. Hearing clients shout in despair was and is heartbreaking.. Clients had opens wounds, as blood was smeared on their arms. Many residents spend their days self stimming by going up and down the corridors in their wheelchairs. They have lost several articles of clothing, and now they no longer answer my calls. They avoid communication to avoid taking accountability. They’ve also lost my loved ones religious necklace that was pinned to her shirt..this item is extremely important and they’ve “misplaced” it. I hope everyone finds a safe place for their loved ones and please do your research before choosing a facility. Hopefully this will help other families, aid your decision, our loved ones should be treated with respect and dignity.

Before my mom entered the gardens, I was terrified because she didn’t have 24 hour supervision. At the Gardens I don’t have the stress of worrying if my mom is alone or being taken care of. The Gardens provides a wonderful environment for my mom. The therapist are so supportive and helpful. My mom loves the food and the cleanliness of the home, it is superior to others I’ve seen before. I trust The Gardens to make sure my mom is satisfied and happy .

My Mom is currently a resident at The Gardens, first from the Gardens picking up my Mom at the hospital to meeting Mary and filling out paperwork the admissions process was quick, professional and efficient. The staff are friendly and compassionate to my Mom. The food so far has been the best I have seen in any healthcare facility! This is a facility set in a rural area with friendly country people taking great care of our Mom!
