Everyone on the Lafayette, IN Elara Caring hospice team is dedicated to providing compassionate care during one of life's most difficult times. They make sure the family is supported and loved on just as much as their patients. They are accessible 24 hours a day to help answer any questions, adjust medication orders, or just be additional support during a difficult time. I have worked in the Lafayette, IN healthcare realm for over a decade, and Elara Caring is definitely my top choice for hospice provider!

If I could I would give negative stars. If you truly love your loved one, do not hire this company for care. Lafayette indiana admitting nurse tells you what you want to hear until you sign on, then the plan changes, no response from nurse that is suppose to come to your home. Nurse is able to text you and tell you she is coming, but never shows up, its been 2 days now and I myself am doing the wound care. This company only cares about signing you on to hospice then does next to nothing. There is so much more problems that occurred with this company. Our father was cared for by Kayla, who has a beautiful gift in caring for the hurting. She educated us, encouraged us, and was extremely honest with us all while ensuring we were comfortable with the information she provided. Nothing came as a surprise to us because she had already set expectations for us. Thank you, Kayla.

Poor communication. Half the medical supplies we initially got were damaged or incorrect. Didn't receive other medical supplies until after the patient passed. Nurse Kim that checked us in was great and did what she said she would but then didn't have any support from the company. Thankfully our family member had a large support system that was able to make sure he was comfortable and not suffering because this company did nothing. Everything our family member needed, we did or bought ourselves. This includes calling around to figure out how to deactivate his defibrillator because there was again no one who stopped by to check on us from this company when they said they would. The Chaplin Andy was the first person we saw from the company and he was able to help get us the prescription refill we needed but everyone else who was supposed to meet with us dropped the ball and wanted to schedule appointments that would be too late because our family member didn't have that much time left. Ultimately this company failed us as a family during this difficult time. Other than the prescriptions and a bed, there was nothing this company provided us that we needed during the time our family member was alive or when their services would have been helpful. To say they failed to deliver quality of care to a patient who was near his end and his family is an understatement.

YouAll was great with my Mom's needs and you gave her what ever she needed or left alone if she did want to do something then tried again My Mom had Dementia she has passed now but thanks for all the care and love
