If anyone ever looks into home health care/support for an elderly family member. I'd be very weary of this company, more specifically Shay D, she's a supervisor, advocate, whatever she's classified as. We sold our house a month ago, and are a week or so from our new house being delivered to my property in Jefferson. It is a connected lot to my grandparents property and house, all of which is in my name. We are staying with them until this process is finished helping them out with their day to day. They have a lady who comes by every other day and she is a blessing to my grandparents. But this other woman showed up yesterday and was disrespectful, judgemental and just down right despicable from the moment she walked in. She was beyond rude, and made several snarky comments. At first I chalked it up to just coming off a 12H night shift. Maybe I was cranky. Maybe I was hallucinating. But nah. She was a beyond rude. My grandmother mentioned we were moving a house in below them, so I saw my moment to slide some information in to maybe cool the water. I told her, "Yeah we just sold our house and purchased one to have moved in so we could help them." Tell me why this woman chuckled? What's so funny? She continuously reiterated that the lady that helps my grandparents is there to help them. Not us Obviously. We pick up after ourselves. Buy groceries. Help them with the day to day and try to be as least invasive in their process as possible. My wife was washing some dishes my grandparents had just ate from, my grandmother said "Haley you can leave those, (insert the care helpers name) can get it." Shay once again, even more sternly said, "No she is here to help y'all not them." They were my grandparents dishes, so technically that falls under what she was saying but we aren't trying to split hairs over such a meaningless task. My wife has no problem helping my grandparents. Needless to say I called their Dallas office and filed a formal complaint. If she is this comfortable being this rude with grown family members present. I can't imagine how she treats elderly people when she's alone. I have never felt so disrespected in a house that's IN MY NAME. I can play devil's advocate a bit and understand maybe she was looking out for my grandparents and her worker in a way. But she handled it so poorly it was disgusting. She never attempted to discern why we were there. Nor did she care to hear what we had to say.
