We went to see this East Carolina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville NC. I was expecting wonderful! What we saw was a building from the 1960s with no updates. Tile floors. Dirty bathroom. No curtains, no area rugs, no comfortable chairs or flowers, cinderblock walls throughout and staff that didn't know what they were doing. There was nothing welcoming about it. We made an appointment as they asked. Rushed to get there on time. The woman didn't know anything about a "tour" and they guy who did tours wasn't there. Could we come back in 2 1/2 hours? (We rode 1hour plus to get there) Another woman stepped up to give us a tour. We couldn't even finish the tour, especially when she told us a doctor came once a week! This is a place the website says will help you recover from a total knee recovery. I wouldn't send anyone there. The building is NOTHING like the website portrays. And I will report it.

Elizabeth is the definition of walking sunshine. As the Activities Director, she brings so much energy and a welcoming smile to everything she does. You can genuinely tell she loves the residents and is dedicated to making sure they are truly enjoying their lives here.

Smiling faces..helpful people. Encouraging physical therapy and occupational therapy, as well as speech therapy. Brandon went above and beyond working with my husband after his broken back. Without his and other's help, Idk if he would have walked again. Staff is willing to help, just ask. Thank- God for this place, in our time of need.

Yesterday, I visited my brother. He wanted me to cut his hair. I also remembered to bring the basin from home along with some ingredients to soak his feet. The last time I saw him without socks and shoes, I felt his feet deserved some pampering. Well, to my pleasant surprise his feet needed very little attention from me as someone had already provided the much needed support to his feet. He told me, "they wash feet here". So, THANK YOU to whoever helped my brother take care of his feet. In addition, I met 4 other caring, professional staff members while visiting his room. One named Liz (activities), one person brought us towels, the assigned nurse and the therapist that was going to take him for a walk outside. Thank you all for participating in my brother's care to ensure he receives what he needs and is safe.

Had the pleasure of meeting new Activity Director, Liz yesterday. Great energy and personality. Going to be a fun place for your loved ones.
