I (and the rest of my family) are so very glad that we found this wonderful adult family home. When my 99 year old grandma fell and broke her back, we knew she would no longer be able to live mostly independently. The hospital recommended several options and we were absolutely horrified after researching them until we made an appointment and visited DSK Living Adult Family Home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness and respect. The home is newly renovated and well kept. Everyone working there is experienced. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the manager, Edith, and every single person involved with the care of the residents. They feel like a family. The owner is knowledgeable, experienced, reliable and involved. Grandma has been living there since March 2026 (just over 3 months) and her care has been excellent. When she arrived, she was in terrible condition after the accident and we all were so afraid she wasn't going to survive more than a week or two. But under their care, and also thanks to Samuel's experience as a nurse, she improved! She's clean and well cared for. She's treated like part of the family, they do activities (like play bingo which she loves), they eat meals together and spend most of the day together. We can visit nearly any time we would like if needed though they are busy around mealtimes and after dinner as they prepare everyone for bedtime so we respect their schedule and keep visits to normal business hours. They are communicative and work really hard to make this the best experience possible for the residents and the people who love them. I have to say, going into this was pretty much a stressful nightmare and I went home and cried after we placed her there. *Not* because I was unhappy but because I was so relieved that she was safe and in a wonderful place that actually cared. I wish this for everyone. I can say that I have zero reservations with this decision and encourage anyone who is interested to contact them and at least set up a visit. Once you meet them, you'll know what I mean. Oh, and Grandma told me that she feels safe there and that everyone is so nice. And she really likes Edith's cooking!
