I highly, highly, highly recommend this assisted living facility. My parents had conditions where they could no longer stay by themselves. Thus we decided on this place and from the start the exemplary customer service and care made the transition so easy. The place was founded by doctors so medical attention is conveniently available and they have great activities and three meals a day for their residents. The staff at DeSoto Palms really went beyond the call of duty to take care of not only my parents but also my family and I as we visited often. They were always very welcoming and informative. Furthermore the other residents were very sweet, charming to my parents. I personally like to thank Esther, Christine, Sofia, Schama, Bridgett, Wendy, Carol, Brittani, Cindy, DeAnna, Alice, Dr. Hepler, and Shannon and there are many others for providing my parents a comfortable home with extra support.

My mom has been at Desoto Palms for almost a year now, and the difference has been remarkable. She’s doing so much better physically and socially, and she’s much more positive and happy than I could have imagined a year ago. She did not want to go to an assisted living, and it took her a while to acclimate, but the progress has been absolutely worth it. The care she’s received has been excellent. The independent medical staff genuinely cares, and I want to give a special shout-out to Brittany, who has truly gone above and beyond, and to Bridgett, who has also been wonderful. They communicate and advocate for her. The facility is clean, and my mom is picky about food but has actually been enjoying the meals. Thank you so much to the entire staff. Highly recommend Desoto Palms for anyone considering assisted living for a loved one.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Clean. But if you’re not almost 100% independent then I wouldn’t recommend moving here. They pushed to complete admission paperwork for the month prior to move in and collected three months worth of rent only to have my mom fall within two weeks of living there, with serious injuries, and no one found her for 14 hours plus. My dad actually found her.. She moved out within three weeks of moving in and they kept almost $15,000 and didn’t even have the decency to communicate with me about the incident. The admissions liaison communicated with me multiple times per day until move-in, but I never heard from her not once after that. I never heard from anyone at all after the incident. As we were moving furniture in, some of the residents were outside and “jokingly” said, run, don’t do it. I suppose I should have listened.

DeSoto Palms has been my home for the last two years plus. My apartment here is spacious and comfortable. The activities here are great, from plays, the circus, trying different restaurants in the area, picnics, etc. Thanks to Beth and Jodie, our activity girls ❤️We go mall walking and shopping at kohls, Walmart, publix, etc. Food here is good with phenomenal desserts! I am sad to be leaving, but new grandbabies back in upstate New York trump all.

It's been almost a year since Mom moved to DeSoto Palms and in her words most every day, "we couldn't have found a better place for me!!" After our Dad passed Mom decided that she wanted to move to assisted living rather than stay in the villa she shared with Dad for 10& years. We looked at two places with plans of considering our tours for several weeks and making a decision in a few months. That was the beginning of September 2024. By the middle of the month Mom moved to DeSoto and it truly is a wonderful community. The staff from administrator down to caregivers and housekeepers are dedicated to the community and its residents. There are many programs, activities and events, more so than most facilities. And these are always well attended with great participation. It makes all the difference! There are many specialty meal activities to enjoy. When assistance is required it is provided with promptness and concern. I could go on ... You won't want to miss checking out DeSoto Palms for yourself or your loved one.
