Easy check in, tons of information available as you enter. Reception was upbeat. Nurses were very helpful on our first day, and patience aplenty. Very clean rooms and bathrooms.

A huge thank you to Pam the night supervisor who made it possible for me and my Papa to have a conversation regarding the days news and say good night, God bless and I love you (my Mom and Papa & I did this every night for over 40 years regardless what country I was visiting from the United States to Ireland & Vietnam ). Since my Dad has been hospitalized and sent to rehab at Davis Place (almost a month) we haven’t been able to do this until tonight. Pam was very kind and empathetic with me while I was crying and she told me please don’t cry. I needed this more than anyone could know. Pam I just can’t thank you enough for making the contact with my Dad and I possible. My husband and I can’t say enough good about the staff that is continuing to assist my Papa and our ourselves during these difficult times. Thank you to ALL of Davis Place for EVERYTHING. 💜

My sister’s stay at Davis Place… I swear this place needs its own reality show at this point 😭 It started with a medication error… so right out the gate I’m like yeah ok here we go 💥 Then I ask for a pressure relieving mattress… still waiting… I think it’s coming by horse and buggy at this point 🐎 Meanwhile I’m doing my own rounds like I work there: “Why is her heel turning red?? Are we just ignoring that or…??” So I go find the nursing supervisor, Ronette. She comes in blinking so fast with lashes so long I swear I felt wind 🌪️ I’m like hold up… do I need a care plan or goggles?? 😭 I said: “I need heel protectors and repositioning.” She goes: “Well… she’s transferring Tuesday.” Ohhh ok… so we just doing ✨vibes until discharge✨ now?? Fast forward HOURS later after I go back AGAIN like I clocked in for my shift… ✨BOOM✨ heel protectors magically appear like I unlocked a level 🎮 AND THEN… My sister waits 45 MINUTES for a bedpan ⏰ I told her next time we starting a countdown… whoever walks in at zero wins 😭 AND JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I SEEN IT ALL… 🪳 cockroach in the room 🪳 I’m not even kidding… at this point I feel like it checked in before we did 😭 So now I understand how this place works: ask once = no ask twice = maybe ask three times = congrats you unlocked BASIC CARE 🏆 At this point I’m: part nurse 🩺 part lawyer ⚖️ part detective 🕵️♀️ part event coordinator tracking who shows up and when 🎟️ part meteorologist tracking eyelash wind speeds 🌬️ and now part exterminator 🪳🚫 Moral of the story: If your loved one is in a place like this don’t just visit… you gotta ADVOCATE Because apparently basic care is something you gotta unlock 🔓 And I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings… it’s only Monday 😭 Countdown to Tuesday ⏳ before they just put me on payroll at this point 😆. If anything goes Wild tomorrow. Part 2: Monday Edition. 😆

Place was very clean. Nurses were very attentive.Dietary had a nice selection of food for residence. Also a few c n a's in there went above and beyond I was very pleased. Place was Very accommodating to the residents family members. I really am impressed with physical therapy they as well went above and beyond helping my father gain that confidence back and helped him immensely to reach his goals to come home. I feel they are short staffed in some departments and need help like some places naturally do if they fill more spots they will be top notch.
