Daughters of Miriam took an amazing care of our elderly father in Mandel II unit. On behalf of our entire family, I would to highly praise the facility as a whole and Mandel II unit staff. Monna the unit manager and her staff went above and beyond to ensure our father’s final 18 months. The team deals with many daily challenges of memory unit patients with ease and high professionalism. They treat residents with outmost respect and dignity. Our family highly appreciates their commitment to our father.

My mom was at Daughters of Miriam for several weeks for rehab. She had a good experience under the circumstances. The PT and OT therapy was consistent and effective. The doctor who treated her was very knowledgeable and caring. The director of nursing was responsive and went above and beyond. Many of the meals were quite good. Some meals were not to her taste, but that’s to be expected. The rabbi was genuine and went out of his way to give her comfort. The transportation driver was hard-working and dedicated. Social work was helpful when needed. Many of the other staff who assisted her in the day to day were kind. No rehab stay is perfect, but there are a lot of gems there. Even the front desk greeted me with a smile.

Everyone here has been so helpful and wonderful. Yvette has taken care of me during day shift. She's done an amazing job. She has encouraged me to not give up on my therapy even when I'm physically hurting. The only thing that I can complain about is that there are not enough supplies for everyone. I myself need the bigger size briefs (3x) and they ran out of them here a week ago!! The aides here have been piecing together what they could for me but this impedes my progress with physical therapy. I am trying to get stronger, enough to go home. I can't do that if I'm in the bed! This is extremely frustrating, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF MY BED!!!

I am presently a resident here and I have witnessed the positive changes happen. With the increase in activities it provides a more rehabilitive recovery. This allows us to transition back to our families in a more favorable manner.
