If you are thinking about Cypress Glen as a place for retirement, don't hesitate to come and see this beautiful facility. It is easy to meet with the Marketing Staff, who will introduce you to Cypress Glen, show you the facility, including apartments and homes. Then they will walk you through the process of discerning your needs and answer questions. There is no pressure, just friendly conversation. There is a "family atmosphere" among both the residents and staff highlighted by friendliness and helpfulness. I have enjoyed being here these past two months and look forward to finding places I can use my gifts to volunteer as a resident.

As a physician practicing in Greenville, I have long been aware of the importance of Cypress Glen as a resource for our older citizens in providing not only safe housing but also the assurance of a healthy diet, opportunities for exercise, socialization, entertainment and a broad range of medical services including, even including assisted living, day care and a memory cottage. We still deeply appreciate the opportunities offered by Cypress Glen to my in-laws who spent years at the "Glen" during their years of full activity and as aging took their toll. My wife and I initially rented an apartment about five years ago and moved into a lovely two bedroom cottage about two years ago. We delight in our neighbors, enjoy the food, even having it delivered to us, as well as the numerous activities. I have had a chance to compare our retirement community to others in the US and, invariably, Cypress Glen compares with the best in terms of security and value. I’ve been here since May 19, 2020. I am beyond happy living here and that staff truly live up to their hospitality promises. Staff will bend over backwards to help assist us residents and take care of us like we are family. I find that residents are very friendly and welcoming. It’s a very friendly and wholesome atmosphere here. Lastly, the food here is very delicious!!!

We moved to Cypress Glen in our 70s, and all our friends said, You’re too young! Maybe so, but in the 3 years we’ve lived here, we’ve made new friends, enjoyed concerts and plays and lectures. We‘ve taken advantage of the Convenient Care Clinic,, the fitness room and the pool. When our furnace went out in December, CG had it fixed in a day and kept us warm in the meantime. Too young? You are never too young to enjoy the freedom that comes with knowing you’ve chosen comfort, care a great group of people and employees who are absolutely the best!

Several years ago, a good friend moved to Cypress Glen. He contacted us to say that we needed to move to Cypress as we did not have children and we would need help as we aged. So we visited and it was a good visit. We were pleased with the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly residents, and a staff that was caring and knowledgeable. After a few more visits we decided to put our name on the wait list. We chose to move into the new Independent Living building which was to be constructed. We chose our apartment plan, met with staff to choose the fixtures to be installed. We do not have a long wait now! Making this move will be difficult but with the help of Jeny Martin and Elizabeth Jenkins, we are feeling at ease as we transition to a life plan community.
