I would like to compliment your facility and wonderful staff! I was there to visit my Great Aunt who was having rehab for a broken pelvis. Your grounds are lovely with so many beautiful flowers and areas to sit outside. Your staff was amazing - so kind, caring and always smiling! From the time you arrived you were greeted so warmly by Miss Marissa and sweet Matilda “Tilly”. Katrina was wonderful with the patients as she engaged with them with the planned activities! Q from Food Services was so friendly and I appreciated him coming by to introduce himself and check to see if my Great Aunt needed anything added to her meals. The nursing staff was exceptional! I am so grateful to Marti and her care and compassion and humor! She is a huge asset to your facility and the patients she cares for! You are fortunate to have her! Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the following who care(d) for my Great Aunt as they need to know how much I appreciated them: Brittni Abiola Cienna Jodi Tashyra Myah People seeking a facility such as yours for Assisted Living, Rehab, etc. should highly consider Crown Point Health Center and know that the care they or their loved ones receive will be in excellent care!

Update: not long after I posted my review the food quality started going downhill. Oatmeal has been burnt, not just once, but a few times and still served, bacon has been burnt too. the food at lunch has just been terrible as well. When i went to ask questions I found out that Chef Adam had resigned from his position and two other cooks had taken over. I'm not sure what they did to make him want to leave, but they should have kept him, and did what ever they could to keep him, cause these other cooks are terrible. With him it was 5 stars, these new cooks I give a 2 star.<br><br>I have to say your chef Adam has a good heart for the residents at your place, the way he talks to them, the way they respond to him is amazing. He is always so cheerful when talking with them, the food is amazing too, I tried some one day to see what my dad was talking about and he was right. He kept asking for seconds, to me it was a good thing because we had a hard time getting him to eat at the last place he was at. Most of their stuff was pre-made, i found out the food here is made from scratch. You can for sure tell the difference. Of course Adam was more then happy to give my dad more when ever he asked for it. I over heard Adam telling a resident the other day that he was happy to see him smiling and that his smile made him smile. Hearing something like that from an employee to a resident I'm sure means something to them. I hope you keep him on staff a long time. You can tell he loves what he does, not just by the food, but also by the way he talks to people around the building. I also want to give a shout out to Danielle from the kitchen, man she can tell when someone is having a bad day cause she can get you laughing at anything just to turn it around from a bad day to a good day, she is always so cheerful around the residents. People like the two I mentioned are what makes others want to bring their loved ones to a place like this one.

Food is awesome, Chef Adam does a great job, my mom loves the food and talks about it all the time. Chef Adam is very polite and understanding when asked questions. One of the residents came to the door while i was there and he must of knew what the gentleman wanted, cause right away he said I got you bud, he went and grabbed a pop from the back and brought it to him, said to him have a good day buddy and the resident rolled away very excited. Seeing Adam taking care of another resident the way he did tells he loves what he does and tells me my mom is in the right place, with staff like him on board let's me know shes going to be fed good too.
