Rude and disrespectful staff member with no regard for placement for my mother. It's sad that one person is making this place so distasteful. I hope this person never has to deal with what I have had to deal with in a facility for her parents. I'm devastated!

I was a patient here for rehab after an orthopedic surgery. My experience was very positive. The staff was professional and compassionate. The therapy department worked hard to help me walk again. The facility was clean. The food was good with them even providing me a vegetarian diet. I highly recommend this facility.

My mother was in the hospital for pneumonia RSV and was discharged to the rehab for pulmonary rehab and such. When she got there, she could take herself to the bathroom. She could sit up in bed and eat she could basically do everything, but her breathing was really off. Five days later she was getting changed. They were changing her bedding, changing her diapers. They were keeping her on full flow oxygen yet never suggested taking her to the hospital again. She got worse and worse and finally the fifth day. I said I think she needs to go back to the hospital and they said no we could do that all here and the nurse practitioner had plans to do IV antibiotics and x-rays and more labs and never did a thing. So we take her to the hospital by ambulance that night and she is septic and has CDF and still pneumonia and kidney failure and nobody was taking care of her at that rehab. My husband and I would sit there for two hours one day waiting for her to get changed and I wouldn’t have normally let that happen but I was truly curious how long it would take them. And she wasn’t complaining. The nurses are ridiculously lazy. They sit at the nurses station day and night and when you ask a question you get laughed at almost like what do you think she is she’s sick or I don’t know what they think, but it comes across that way. And when you walk in the door, this nurses station is right there in the middle of the room and they’re all talking and laughing and you say hi how was your day and you walked by and you’re like how’s my mom doing today? Who’s your mom same nurse every day who’s your mom again and nobody has anything to say about her except she’s OK. Now Pauline, the nurse during the day is very informative when you talk to her, but she’s one of like three a day so sure she’s taking care of mom in the mornings but not the rest of the day and while I’m visiting, she looks good and then at night she’s calling me crying, not knowing what day it is etc. Needless to say we got her to the hospital and she passed away and I really feel like she was totally neglected there I would never recommend this place. I tried to think of the good things but other than the clean atmosphere I didn’t see anything I liked. Maybe the Nursing home section of the place is better but I don’t know how anybody gave this place five stars.
