This place has mold that keeps you sick. And it should not be in operation. Working amongst hostel and unqualified personnel. Perhaps a very few there Is efficient?

This Nursing home is just as bad as the ones in the city if not even worse. The staff does Not want to work or they hide. The nurseing home might be looking better but, underneath is rotting away. If you need a nice nursing home go toward Kirkwood or down 270 Hwy. They are all Nice. Please don't waste your time here or near the city!!!!

My mother was at this facility for almost a year and I am sad to say that her care and neglect was extremely concerning. Unfortunately when you don't have a lot of financial support and you are relying on help from the state you are not given much of a choice on where to go so for financial reasons and no other options this is where she ended up. This facility is undergoing renovations but gives you a false sense of what to expect. It is beautiful when you enter and the gets worse the farther you get. Old disgusting and falling apart is what you get A homey and welcoming environment is the last thing you receive here. The rooms are old and filthy broken up blinds. The urine smell is so bad that I often had to take my mother outside just to visit. I have had countless sleepless nights worrying about her care and safety as I witnessed many disturbing things over her entire stay here. I have seen the most appalling behavior with the staff here the very people I was trusting to care for her. Most of my visits would entail watching the staff hang out at the nurses station while residents were left to fend for themselves. My mother was unable to walk sit up and sometimes not even able to lift her head off the pillow. I would ask staff for basic needs for her and would be addressed with a hateful attitude. They even would talk about me when I visited because I would insist that her needs be met. There is no help with grooming or eating so if they say they do it is false. The laundry situation is just ridiculous. I spent hundreds of dollars on clothing and every weekend I came they would be missing until she had no clothes left. She was even taken outside by staff with a sheet thrown over her...just wow really! Everything I brought to her weekly would be gone when I returned the next week. Her birthday presents I brought her were even stolen. What I have to say to the staff that steals from the elderly that can't fend for themselves is that there is a special kind of hell reserved just for you. When she passed and I was cleaning out her room not one staff member even acknowledged me or gave any words of sympathy. She meant everything to her family that loved her and it disgusts me to think I left her in the care of people who couldn't offer any words that she mattered. Not one person from this facility reached out to me. Her balance is paid in full even though the amount stolen from her far outweighed any balance. If this facility passes inspection and this is what Missouri thinks is acceptable care for the elderly than that is very alarming.
