The nursing staff at Crescent Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation (CCNR) are usually responsive. But, sometimes the patient needs someone to mediate on his/her behalf. Heather Brown is the Liaison for CCNR and patients. She has been very responsive and effectively communicates several concerns about my mother's care at CCNR. She responds promptly and follows through in a timely manner. We appreciate Heather's assistance.

We had to perform an emergency "rescue mission" to save my 77-year-old grandfather from this facility. He was here for less than 24 hours and nearly died due to their negligence. The Conditions: The facility was sweltering (90°F+ inside) with no A/C. The entire building smelled of feces and urine. We witnessed residents slumped over in their own vomit while staff ignored them. The Medical Neglect: My grandfather (who has COPD and a fractured hip) was in acute respiratory distress from the heat and passing out. His call button was BROKEN. When I screamed for help twice, NO ONE CAME. We had to physically lift and change him ourselves because no staff would assist. The Staff: The receptionist was eating lunch with food on her face and refused to greet us. Most horrifyingly, when we attempted to leave for Urgent Care, she LOCKED the front doors, holding us captive while my grandfather was losing consciousness. Kaiser members: Even their own caseworkers admit they have "received many complaints about this place." Do not let your loved ones enter this building. It is a death trap. I am reporting this to the Maryland OHCQ and the Ombudsman immediately.

My Father just passed away and before that happened he was at this facility. He was only there for a few days. I Appreciate the nurses that cared for him. He was suddenly transported to a hospital because of complications and left his belongings behind. I came in the next day to get them. The woman Jennifer W. Met me at the front desk and handed me my dad’s laptop and she waited with me while all his other things were brought out. I’m sure she was busy, but she stayed and made sure everything was there. It was a small gesture on her part, but it made a world of difference to me. These are the type of individuals that these facilities need. Respectful, empathetic. Thank you Jennifer.

Some of the Nurses and Physical Therapist were testy and rude. I had to speak to one of the Nurses about her nasty and aggressive attidude. Some of the Nurses need civility training so that they learn to be nicer and kinder to their patients. I do not recommend this facility for your loved ones.

I had a great experience with Crescent Cities Health and Rehabilitation. The staff is caring, attentive, and truly treats residents with dignity and respect. The building is clean, welcoming, and you can tell they work hard to create a comfortable environment for both residents and families. Communication was good, and the team was always willing to answer questions and help however they could. I’m grateful for the compassion and support shown here and would definitely recommend this facility to others looking for quality care.
