I’m sorry but my mom was placed here back in the end of January 2026. My mom constantly complained to me about the politeness of staff, stating “they’re always rude here and don’t listen to you”. My mom between the end of January and beginning of February had a “incident”. Country manor staff says she fell, my mother said a staff member nudged her to “walk faster”. She ended up fracturing her femur and ended back up in grossmont hospital. We removed her immediately from country manor care and filed the proper complaints with the state. Country Manor attempted to tell me over the phone that they were not releasing her and I can’t do anything about it. Yes I have every call recorded as evidence of what all was said. We will be seeking the video of this occurrence for court……..😘 DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER.

I'm writing this with a heart full of back as I settle back into my life at home. When this journey started, the road back to independence felt incredibly long and, at times, impossible. Thank you for being more than just my medical team-you were my coaches, my cheerleaders, and on the toughest days, my friends. Your staffs persistence pushed me to limits, I didn't think I could reach, and your unwavering belief in my recovery gave me strength to keep going, when I wanted to quit. Because of your expertise, I kept going. You didn't just help me heal physically; you gave me back my life. I will never, ever forget the kindness you shown me. Thanks for everything. With deepest appreciation, Minister Farris Davidson

I searched for the closest place for my father. I was greeted with a warm welcome here. Very open and available and I stopped by several times to double check his acceptance. The hospital social worker was pushing us elsewhere and I’m so glad I persisted. The food was great, the employees were kind and efficient. Dad had great care here and he was safe. Also had great PT on site. Overall I felt like family at Country manor La Mesa. Safe and beautiful neighborhood too!

My husband received exceptional care at Country Manor and the facility/grounds are beautiful. The food was very good, as well. The staff and administration was superb, demonstrating their care for the patients at every turn. I highly recommend Country Manor to anyone needing rehab and/or skilled nursing services for themselves or loved ones.

We have placed my Mom and Dad into Country Manor of La Mesa on multiple occasions for various lengths of time -- from post-surgery recovery, to short-term treatment, to long-term care. We keep coming back because the level of care and attention is consistently better than we have found elsewhere. A family member who is a hospice nurse and knows all the facilities in the region says this is one of a short list of great places. The attitude of personal and genuine care starts with the management team and continues through the nursing and care-giving staff, the physical/occupational therapy team, and the activity staff. The building isn't new, but the big glass walls in each room looking out to green space or the large patio area make it feel more connected with nature than a typical facility. No place or team is perfect, but this is a trustworthy team that takes great care of loved ones. That's why we keep coming back!
