HORRIBLE!! Some of the staff is so lovely, I will admit. The Head Cook is so sweet, very professional and definitely the only PRO in this building. Everything else is horrible, I have heard caregivers VERBALLY ABUSING OTHER RESIDENTS. Call lights take way too long, The owner is so rude and only cares about $$. And most of the staff that was so amazing is now gone. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, They don’t care about anything or anyone. Meds are a mess, Management is horrible, this family owned company is horrible. The place is nice but definitely not worth getting verbally abused, neglected and getting treated poorly.

I was told and it’s advertised as having an excellent memory care unit. NOT THE CASE. I find that most employees are nice, but there is NO RN on memory care unit 24/7. I’ve asked for details of services provided from all contract, wasn’t given upon entry. The owner let go previous management and wants to argue with you about the care being given. They don’t follow up on orders given by their DOCTOR. BEEN WAITING 2 months for appointment to specialist. The facility is old and the rooms are big but unless you have your own money for private room and additional services, you’re SOL!!

Hello! My family highly recommends Coronado Retirement Village as a wonderful place for our 89-year-old mother to live. She has her own private room with a large window, private bathroom and shower, and it's situated in the beautiful scenic Coronado Island overlooking the Coronado Bay Bridge. We receive excellent service from the staff, and the dining has many options. Thank you, CRV!

I have a family member who has been residing at Coronado Retirement Village for three years and the care which he has received has been exceptional. The staff including the administrator, med techs, personal care givers, housekeeping and those assisting in the dining room have all been exceptional and we are on a first name basis which makes it feel like family. The location of the facility is conveniently located across the street from Sharp Coronado hospital and various medical offices. It also is adjacent to Tidelands park which has great views of the bay. This facility is nicely decorated and offers a large outdoor patio area which is nicely furnished to enjoy the fresh air or to enjoy a picnic lunch. No institutional feel here whatsoever. I am not submitting this review as an advertisement but only to share my sincere personal experience with this facility.

My love one lived at Coronado Retirement Village for nearly one year. Making the decision to move a loved one into an assisted living facility could be one of the most difficult and complex decisions you can make. It certainly was incredibly hard for me, and for my loved one. Fortunately, my loved one was not only able to help in studying the pros and cons, but was able to give a thumbs-up assessment to eventually go forward with the move. Like real estate decisions, we placed a great deal of weight on location, and better locations than Coronado would be tough to find. Coronado Retirement Village (CRV) is superbly located on the Island, immediately off the Bridge, just across the street from the outstanding Sharp Coronado Hospital, and next door to a first rate Sharp-run skilled nursing facility. The CRV ownership and management have placed a great emphasis on their building and grounds, which are very well cared for, up-to-date, and agreeable. Safety and cleanliness were continually important to them, but became central and imperative with COVID-19. The wellbeing of the residents and staff stays at the top of all their decisions. As a final point, there are a number of CRV staff members from across disciplines that I could perhaps single out as being consistently excellent, and caring, but I won't do that for fear of forgetfully not including one of those deserving "angels".
