My father has been in this facility for over a year. He is well-taken care of and I couldn’t ask for a better place. I’ve been in many facilities for him, in my career, and for other family members - I can honestly say I haven’t seen better. My father had a wound opened up by another facility in Greenwood that was infected to the bone. The hospital couldn’t get it closed, I couldn’t get it closed at home, but they did in less than two months. They check on him consistently throughout the day. They genuinely care about him as a person. I can’t tell you how much a blessing this place has been in letting my family just have the peace of mind and he is better taken care of there than we could ever dream of at home. Love Compass Park!

I had two family members as residence. The area my uncle is, for the most part is really good. But if your loved one needs to go into the memory unit, you definitely do not want to take them here.
I moved my mother here into the memory unit as she always wanted to be a resident at Mosonic Home when the time came. Actually my mother worked as head of admissions for years. We also have had several members of our family as residence In the past.
My mother was walking very well with a walker for assistance when she moved in. Six months into her living there, a Nurse got my mother up to go to the restroom and ended up accidentally dropping her Resulting in a very large gash in the back of her head and two fractures in her neck. This was 100% an accident. Seven days after this incident, my mother rolled out of the bed, breaking her arm. I was notified by staff that her arm indeed was broken, and if I wanted her to seek medical attention prior to scheduling an appointment for the following week, I had to come and get her to take her to the hospital. Due to the lack of physical therapy, following these incidences, my mother has never walked again in fact, has been on a Hoyer lift since. The unit manager in this particular memory unit is Crystal Ault. And when I ask Crystal,, how my mother‘s physical therapy was going, I was told “ I don’t know why you think she needs physical therapy as she is at her lifespan”. The last broken bone she endured was her hip as she wanted to stand up and walk and lost her balance. Once again, Against doctors orders. She received no Significant physical therapy. As I finally reached out to the CEO, Mike Spenser to see if there was a way I could get her more physical therapy just to keep her moving although by this time, she would never be off of the Hoyer lift. During this meeting with the CEO, Crystal Ault Spoke up and said my mother had no fractures in her neck from this incident of dropping her. On two separate occasions, I personally went to the hospital to pick up the paperwork where it stated she had two fractures in her neck. I hand-delivered it to Crystal Ault to put in My mother’s record, but during the meeting with the CEO, Crystal, stated there was no such paperwork. Finally, after meeting with the Director of nursing behind closed doors, I was informed that If I could not prove my mother did not have the fractures prior to admission, “ It is a grey area”. In fact, they stated my mother‘s first incident was when she rolled out of bed and broke her arm. Even though after they dropped her, she spent three nights in the hospital, they do not acknowledge this incident.
I have no proof that my mother’s neck was not fractured prior to her admission because mom never had a head or neck injury So there was no reason to have an x-ray prior to.
I was finally able to move my mother out of here to homeview, where I finally feel like I can rest at night and not worry that my phone is going to ring with yet another fall or broken bones.
All of my family have been Masons and I was raised being told that Mosonic Home is the best place to live your final years, days.
My horrible experience is only related to the memory Unit. As far as the rest of Mosonic Home, I have very positive things to say.

The facility itself is nice and well maintained. However I am very displeased with the lack of interest by the therapy staff in the recovery of their patients. Particularly a current contracted therapist from HTS therapy in greenwood, David Kirkpatrick. I have found the information he has supplied to family to not only be incorrect but also inconsiderate. If I was starting over the process for searching for care for my grandmother I would prefer to find a place that does not outsource their therapists.
