Comfort Keepers in Cartersville, GA has been amazing. Their caregivers are reliable, professional, and truly compassionate. They offer excellent support for adults, seniors, and veterans who need in-home care. I’m very impressed with their service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality home care in Bartow county.

The two stars are only for the caregivers that were excellent. I fired Comfort Keepers because of the lack of professionalism of the office staff and more specifically the Director of Operations Reina. We had a caregiver that was a racist, explicitly expressing her racist ideology about black men. Next up was a thief who took advantage of my sister who is cognitively compromised to the tune of $600 dollars, with the order going directly to the caregiver's home address. I was able to cancel the order, thankfully. The last caregiver they sent sat on my sisters couch on her phone while my sister slept. My sister received no meds, no food or water. I checked the camera and saw what was happening and the office staff contacted her and at 1:30 p.m. she woke my sister up, and left at 2 p.m. They would only credit my sister for 1 hour. The next week they tried to send this same caregiver back. This is when I chose to fire Comfort Keepers. The inconsistency and untrustworthy caregivers were causing me more stress. When I told Jackie that I would no longer be using Comfort Keepers, Reina the Director of Operations called me. She told me that I was the problem. Not the racist or thieves but me. I cannot even explain the pain this comment caused me. I am doing my best to care for my recently disabled sister, literally just trying to survive everything I have to do, and I am blamed for the issues with their staff. Unprofessional is not a strong enough word to describe Reina's behavior. Disgusting is more appropriate. Be wary and vigilant if you choose to use this company. They have some amazing caregivers, but when there are issues, they do not fire them they recycle them. Use a camera!!<br><br>UPDATE:<br><br>I added a star to this review after a long conversation with the owner Jennifer and the Community Liaison Dakota. I was pleased to hear that the caregiver who made the racist remarks and the caregiver who was the thief were released from their positions. The owner was gracious enough to refund money to my sister for each of the incidents I had to call the company about. They also provided a credit. However, due to Reina still being the Director of Operations, I will not be taking advantage of the credit. I was informed Reina was going to be re-trained. I do not want my sister or myself to be the test subjects to see if she has been trained on how to show compassion to people in need of care. I also told them I would remove this review and the owner said that she did not expect me nor was she asking me to do so, that this was my experience and after much thought, I agree with her. People should have the opportunity to see how this situation was handled and make their own choices. I appreciate their response to my review. I hope all of this is an opportunity to create a better experience for the clients and their families.

A business who takes care of veterans the way they do deserves more recognition! They also have a staff of veterans who serve on their team. It’s hard these days to find others who understand the situations and frustrations veterans have, but not here!
