This place when we moved our loved one in it was great but at that time excutive director and her leadership was great and then when she was let go for being truthfully honest and new management came in this is when it all went downhill for our loved one including given the wrong medication and was not charted in our loved ones records by a agency nurse. The care drastically went from being great to horrible. We had no intentions to moving our loved one but this made us think twice with all the horrible care given to our loved one left us no choice but to find better for our loved one so we did not have worry about our loved one when we could not be with them. We did find a much better place in Zanesville and our loved one is now getting great care and we do not worry about it at all. Our loved one is much happier in the assisted living community they are in now. I do not recommend Clay Gardens unless you change management. There is only one nurse I will say that was outstanding there the whole time our loved one was under her care her first name was Lisa and she was great.

I can't say enough nice things about Clay Gardens! My grandmother is a resident at Clay Gardens and we are so grateful for them. All of the staff are so kind and caring and it gives us the peace of mind that she is receiving excellent care. Communication with staff is phenomenal so if I ever have a question, I can call day or night and someone is always there to answer the phone and is happy to help. The facility is beautiful and well-maintained including a spacious and enclosed outdoor space. There are various communal spaces and activities and celebrations that they do with the residents, including Church (my grandmother's favorite!). It truly feels like being a part of a community. I would give Clay Gardens my highest recommendation to everyone. -Gaile and Erin Clark

My mom is a resident at Clay Gardens Place. She has dementia. Before moving her into Clay Gardens this past summer, she lived alone and was about three hours away from me. It was so stressful and I was always worrying about her, so I finally was able to talk her into moving. So happy to have her much closer and in a great facility like Clay Gardens. They take great care of my mother. Everyone is so kind, patient and loving to her. And most importantly, she actually loves it there and is very happy. They fill her days with numerous fun and mentally stimulating activities that she never had when she was at home. Plus, she loves getting her hair done every week at the facility’s in house salon…AND she gets her nails done there too. She has made friends and is more social than she’s been in years. They have good meals. Mom has even put on some weight since she moved there. The cost, especially compared to other facilities in the area, is reasonable. It’s been so nice knowing that I no longer have to worry about my mom like I was and that she is getting the much needed care, social and mental stimulation that she needs.
