I visited Chandlers Square Retirement Community in Anacortes last week, and I left genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, the energy felt warm and vibrant. I watched the Super Bowl on the huge screen in their movie theater (my husband was jealous), and the building itself felt fresh and thoughtfully curated. The new mural work beautifully differentiates the spaces and gives each area its own intentional personality. Happy Hour on Friday was packed, which says a lot. Residents were clearly enjoying themselves. In the elevator, I overheard a guest say, “I wonder if I could come to this stretch and flex class… I need something like that” as she read the activity list posted. That simple comment stuck with me because it reflects a place where people want to live out loud. These folks have a better social schedule than I do! The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely present. You can tell they’re encouraged to grow, contribute ideas, and stretch their wings, and that culture shows. I have to say… the carrot cake? Truly the best I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a retirement community that feels lively, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, Chandlers Square is absolutely worth a visit.

I've only been here a few times to pick up residents to bring back to our facility (Orchard Park) so first impressions are as follows: staff seem attentive and professional. Building interior appeared clean and tidy. My only real criticism was the building's layout, which was a bit confusing. All the hallways and outlets looked identical, so I could see how some residents might take quite a while to acclimate.

Thank you so much for the informative talk. It helped to validate my own experiences and give me confidence that I’m doing the right thing for me and my wife who has early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Especially important is knowing not to hold onto any feelings of betrayal or guilt. If we had discussed it five years ago this is what she would have wanted. Thanks!

This is a wonderful place for my dear friends to live. It is always clean, light and airy. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. I would live here myself if the apartments were just a tad bit bigger.

I visit this facility often as a nurse seeing clients. I would be happy to live here myself. I do not believe they offer memory care, so if you are thinking of living there or placing a family member there, you would need to consider your next steps when a higher level of care is needed. Super clean. Very friendly staff. Lots of daily activities and outings for residents. It feels updated and fresh.
