As of this writing (3/27) I must put a "buyer" beware on this place. I will not go into all the details that brought this around as it is irrelevant to this situation. Today I went to pick up my adult child's belongs. I was shocked that his meds were not returned to us as they often are when I have pick my child up from hospitals, respite places, group homes ... My child had called from the place they are currently in asking they return a cell phone and switch as they are the prized possessions and knew I would get all the clothes and such. When I inquired the where abouts of their clothing as they said the phone and the switch were given to me, one of the workers asked another worker about the personal stuff. They said they had not seen it but had not check the room. When they returned they said there were no clothes. When I picked up the switch, they had forgotten to give me everything, but finally remembered where the switch stand was and gave me the bathroom kit which is missing part of the shaver- like it can't be used as the shaver is missing, i got the parts. I asked about the personal bedding that was purchased last June and they started floundering. I finally said I didn't care and not to worry about, as I knew it was gone. I am left wondering had my child returned like they were supposed to what would they have in their possession? Had they not called requesting for specific things would they have given those items to me when I drove to pick up all of their belongings? While I and my child can replace what was stolen, what about the others who may not be able to replace clothing and personal items? They said that the pharmacy would mail me my child's meds, but they have meds there too had they returned yesterday. Makes me wonder. I do not recommend sending a loved one there. I know mental health is a challenge, but this is not the place for them. Keep searching. There maybe nice people there but I question many things and wonder how compliant they are.
