This is the 3rd memory care my 93 year old father has been in in the past four and a half years . He has now been in Cedar Crest for the past four months . It is , hands down, the best !

The facility has a calm atmosphere and has a homey feel. The staff is always friendly and available for help. I always feel welcome when I walk in being greeted by the front desk assistant.

The staff seems to understand dementia and has treated my dad with respect and kindness.

It is also very clean . His clothes are always washed and hung up neatly and his room is always tidy.

I highly recommend this facility for your loved one.

The staff makes less than they could working at mc donalds so their always under staffed. Top pay is 12 bucks an hour. Do you think your family gets the care they deserve for 12 bucks an hour?
They look stressed, they don't do anything extra to promote a happy work environment. After my step dad was there for almost 2 years I've heard plenty story's, You hear a lot gossip, so a lot of what's said it true. One colored lady was ruff housing a woman because she had dementia and could understand what the lady was saying. Once agian I guess you get what you pay for. And for what it cost to stay there, they should be able to pay these girls more. Maybe just maybe you can get some quality help. There 2 people there that care.A black woman and a younger white lady that I see there all the time. These 2 are commited, probably the only ones that I never heard complain. It's gonna be bad when they are gone. Then there won't be anyone there that cares.

Management still has some serious work to do with paying their most important assets the money they deserve and budget so they can keep their rent lower but the floor staff is still amazing in my opinion! I believe it still has lots of potential to remain the best place to put your loved ones.

Years ago when my father needed good quality memory care with options to keep him active (he was always on the go) there was nothing that held a candle to cedar crest. Refreshing to see such strides taken to help these loved ones thru what seemed to be such a lonely world for my dad.
