First - not sure where those majority of reviewers visited, couldn't have been Avaline between September 2024 and June 2026. Below is a more accurate picture! Had to give 1 star or wouldn't post!! Truth is they deserve none!

CAREGIVERS: While there are a number of excellent caregivers, unfortunately they are in the minority by far. Constane no show in regular care-givers, constand agency personnel who do not know residents and what to do. Agency personnel constantly on their phones.

COMMUNICATION: lack of communication between CORPORATE, management, and residents families. Constant changes in MANAGEMENT. Within 15 months, 4 directors, 4-5 wellness directors, and MANY LPNs.

CLEANLINESS: lack of adequate housekeeping staff. One person to clean approximately 30+ assistant living residents rooms, 24 memory care residents rooms, general common areas, 2 outside patio areas. Individual rooms NOT CLEANED weekly Black tar-like materials on floors, windows dirty, screened in porchs FILTHY, no shaded area for memory care residents to sit outside. All common area furniture, rails, and floors should be cleaned daily and disinfected!!

DINING FACILITIES: Memory careunit has inadequate dining areas wwith walkers and wheelchairs. Families have been asked NOT to eat with residets unless they go to main dining room. Snacks not regularly offered to residents, waater containers empty most of the time with no cups available when there is water.

ACTIVITIES: At first activities were appropriate for dementia residents. Once qualified director left, residents just watch TV or watch entrance door to memory care. Where is the cognitive stimulation that was promised?

Police called twice, once due to caretaker fighting in residence and multiple thefts by agency caregivers - some before loved ones even passed away.

Do not believe their marketing spiel—they are misleading and deceptive. The promises made to families are filled with empty assurances, and the follow-through is deeply disappointing, particularly for residents in memory care. This place is despicable – especially the memory care unit. It is in poor condition with filthy and chipping paint. Residents’ rooms and bathrooms are rarely cleaned. Activities are minimal, and there appears to be little effort to engage residents in meaningful ways. Meals are comparable to Lunchables in both quality and quantity, frequently served in Styrofoam containers with plastic utensils. While some memory care staff are attentive, nighttime staffing is severely inadequate and at least one staff member sleeps during their shift. Most alarming is the medication management which has no formal process for administering new medications: no written authorization, no signed consent, and no notification to family members. One resident was given a drug intended to induce sleep without family authorization. This medication carries a black box warning for memory care patients. There is also a troubling lack of respect for residents’ personal belongings. Laundry is returned without regard for labeled names and is often wadded up in dresser drawers. Personal items regularly go missing from residents’ rooms. In one particularly disturbing instance, items were taken from a resident’s room just hours before her death. This is not a safe or appropriate place for an aging loved one to live. (Don't even bother with "Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed, as we strive to provide a supportive environment, attentive service, and satisfying meals for our residents. Your feedback is important and has been shared with our team as we continue working to improve." 1 star is too kind for this place.)
