If I could say ZERO stars I would, Our Dad was sent to this facility because there was no other available beds anywhere else available at the time When we arrived the facility it was run down & disgusting , It smelled as soon as you walk into the building , they placed my Dad in the Dementia ward in the basementm this place was packedwith patients everywhere throughout the hallways m there were very few staff there as well, It was pretty chaotic The room our Dad was placed was also run down , the bureau for his clothes the draws were broken & they had no cable TV the TVsssre there but nothing was connected & when I tried to connect it for our Dad nothing worked , Didn't this facility even take the time to prepare the room for our Dad They didnt do anything BUT that's nothing compared to the worst concern the facility was loaded with bugs fruit flies were everywhere getting in your face I must have awarded like 20 of them & to get.Nurse to compIain , that was a joke we pressed the nurse call. button after 30 min an aid came in I'm sure the nursing staff does the best they can , But there extremely short staffed & it's overwhelming for them The bathroom was another issue.we couldn't even get paper towels nothing was being stocked, The bathrooms are joined between rooms that 4 patients per bathroom, my Dad was a fall risk patient, there was nothing in place to protect our elderly father, they had no bed rails or bed alarms How the hell are they monitoring him & they didn't even have basic things like a phone I. n the rooms The nurses aid explained if the parent wants to make a call he would call the nurses station & someone would bring a cordless phone What the heck ?? at this point I was so disgusted with Cape Heritage I reached out to Cape Cod Hospital Social Worker & demanded our Dad be transferred out of this facility right then & there. The Social worker agreed after she spoke to the Nursing staff admitting they don't use bed rails or alarms on the beds & the hospital sent an ambulance to take out Dad back to the hospital until another bed elsewhere was available So what ever you do SO IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS HORRIBLE & DISGUSTING FACILITY Thank God we were able to get our Dad out of there
