If I could say ZERO stars I would, Our Dad was sent to this facility because there was no other available beds anywhere else available at the time When we arrived the facility it was run down & disgusting , It smelled as soon as you walk into the building , they placed my Dad in the Dementia ward in the basementm this place was packedwith patients everywhere throughout the hallways m there were very few staff there as well, It was pretty chaotic The room our Dad was placed was also run down , the bureau for his clothes the draws were broken & they had no cable TV the TVsssre there but nothing was connected & when I tried to connect it for our Dad nothing worked , Didn't this facility even take the time to prepare the room for our Dad They didnt do anything BUT that's nothing compared to the worst concern the facility was loaded with bugs fruit flies were everywhere getting in your face I must have awarded like 20 of them & to get.Nurse to compIain , that was a joke we pressed the nurse call. button after 30 min an aid came in I'm sure the nursing staff does the best they can , But there extremely short staffed & it's overwhelming for them The bathroom was another issue.we couldn't even get paper towels nothing was being stocked, The bathrooms are joined between rooms that 4 patients per bathroom, my Dad was a fall risk patient, there was nothing in place to protect our elderly father, they had no bed rails or bed alarms How the hell are they monitoring him & they didn't even have basic things like a phone I. n the rooms The nurses aid explained if the parent wants to make a call he would call the nurses station & someone would bring a cordless phone What the heck ?? at this point I was so disgusted with Cape Heritage I reached out to Cape Cod Hospital Social Worker & demanded our Dad be transferred out of this facility right then & there. The Social worker agreed after she spoke to the Nursing staff admitting they don't use bed rails or alarms on the beds & the hospital sent an ambulance to take out Dad back to the hospital until another bed elsewhere was available So what ever you do SO IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS HORRIBLE & DISGUSTING FACILITY Thank God we were able to get our Dad out of there

I recently visited a friend at Cape Heritage nursing facility and left very concerned. The building appeared dirty and poorly maintained. Even more troubling was the administrator, Maryann. Several residents quietly shared that they don’t feel comfortable bringing concerns to her. Her approach came across as aggressive and rude, creating an atmosphere of fear rather than support. I also heard repeated concerns about honesty and whether regulations are being properly followed. Based on what I saw and heard, I would strongly reconsider trusting this facility.

I have never felt more at home than during my time at Cape Heritage. I have lived in multiple nursing homes, and nothing compares. The activities department has made an incredible impact on my life, and I take great pride in attending everything the recreation department has to offer. One of my favorite activities is arts and crafts because I enjoy expressing myself through creative arts, and I especially love sharing my artwork with others by gifting them some of my projects. I have made long-term friendships here, and I know I have the support of both my friends and the CNAs and nurses at this facility. Being president of the food committee has given me a meaningful opportunity to serve my community. Overall, my experience at Cape Heritage has been amazing, and I cherish the memories I have made here.

Thank you to ALL of the staff at Cape Heritage Rehab and Health Care Center! I'll always remember ALL that you did for my brother, Phil (and me!) Every department provided wonderful care: nurses with tender compassion and medical knowledge, caring CNAs, social activities, physical therapy, social workers, recognition of residents' and family needs, help with insurances and accounting, kitchen cooks and servers, maintenance and laundry personnel, welcoming receptionists, and all who assisted in various, important ways! Thank you all. Be blessed!

I’ve been a resident here for 10 months as soon as I got here I felt at home. I have been in multiple nursing homes. But this one feels like a small cruise ship. My experience here has been wonderful. The recreation department is appreciated they provide services 7 days a week, I live for coffee hour and the social aspect in activities and makes me feel right at home. I give it a 5 star recommendation for you and your family.
