Canyons is an outstanding facility! Not only is it a beautiful/warming environment, the care that they provide to their residents is amazing. I absolutely love them!

Our family’s experience with Canyons Retirement has been distressing and painful. The staff repeatedly overstepped personal and legal boundaries, sharing private information about my grandmother with individuals who had no legal or medical authority to receive it. Despite a valid Power of Attorney in place, they consistently refused to communicate or cooperate with the designated decision-makers.<br><br>At one point, staff erased my grandmother’s cell phone and all of her personal data without consent. They also took direction from a family member who had no legal standing, resulting in decisions that caused significant harm and distress. Ultimately, this led to my grandmother being influenced into leaving the facility and moving across the country into a situation that places her well-being at serious risk.<br><br>Our family made multiple attempts to work with Canyons, as well as with attorneys, the ombudsman, Adult Protective Services, and her healthcare providers, to protect her interests. Unfortunately, Canyons was unwilling to collaborate or uphold proper ethical and privacy standards throughout this ordeal.<br><br>We share this review in hopes that others will exercise caution and ask thorough questions before entrusting their loved ones to this facility.
