Cantrell Place

Cantrell Place is an affordable housing community for low-income seniors ages 62 and older located in South Philadelphia. The community offers 61 one-bedroom apartments designed with energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

A medical screening room is available on-site for visiting doctors and health care workers, supporting residents' access to health services. The community is situated in the neighborhood where Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney grew up.

Residents are permitted to keep common household pets in their apartments, and service or assistance animals are also welcome. Pet rules are established to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment, including guidelines on registration, inoculation, waste disposal, and restraint in common areas. Assistance animals are not subject to these pet rules.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas, and residents are required to sign a non-smoking agreement. The community provides reasonable accommodations in housing for residents with disabilities as required by federal, state, and local law, and will work through a dialogue process with residents to address accommodation requests.
