I'm disabled and looking for a new apt because of mold in my present home. The manager was training a new employee because of her retirement. I went on three different occasions to view and fill out the application. Knowing it is a smoke free environment, the third and last time I was there, she asked if I smoked, and I said rarely, the last time was in the car. She told me she couldn't finish the application because I would have to be completely smoke free for six months and would need to get a blood test by my doctor, proving I have been smoke free for six months. Seriously? I drove from Park view 3 times before she told me that? Also, she would switch appointments and she smoked! I called section 8 and they told me it was illegal and should contact Legal Aid immediately. I would never live there now, but do not want others to go through what I did.
