My family’s experience with Brookdale answered our prayers. With short notice, the administration was able to assist my family with the difficult task of housing a loved one into this institution. My family did it’s research on various assisted living facilities and chose Brookdale because of the friendly staff and expert care. I visited my parent nearly every day and the smiling faces, positivity, and clean environment was consistent. What I love the most was how the administration handled a few of the imperfections during the tenure of my father’s stay. Just like any large facility with many employees there are one or two employees that may have issues. The administration always made sure that the residents were happy by curing or solving the problems at hand, in a matter of days. Dealing with my father was difficult because you could never make him happy. Some mornings, it was depressing to go visit him because I listen to his unwarranted complaints, but when I entered the front door of the facility I was always met with the happy and positive energy from the staff that greeted me which made my visit more pleasant. The activities director was always going above and beyond to make sure my father was included in any type of field trip or exercise. I can honestly tell you I have shown up at various times on various days of the week and have always seen employees cleaning or working diligently to please the residents. I will also mention that the food was amazing. On several occasions, I have eaten at this establishment and found the food to be surprisingly very good for this type of institution. I have to say I’ve heard a few residents complain, but you can’t make everybody happy, like my father. In closing with its carefree environment, if I was not married and did not have a family, I would move into Brookdale at this time. But in the future I hope to God there is a facility like Brookdale around for me when the time comes to choose some type of assisted living.
