Exceptional Senior Living

Remember the fun of living with people your own age in a college dormitory or at summer camp You shared your interests and life experiences, played cards or board games, told stories, shared secrets and talked for hours. At Brookdale Boise Parkcenter, an assisted living community in Idaho’s capital city, we recreate that fun communal experience of living with a family of friends. At our community, located in a residential neighborhood near the Boise River and Parkcenter Park, you’ll find other seniors to bond with over mutual interests and common experiences, such as career fields, college days or time in the military service.

Fill in your social calendar and focus on your interests, and we’ll provide just the right amount of personal assistance and care to make your life easier. Your golden years should be your active years and Brookdale Boise Parkcenter is here to help that happen.

Living an Active Life

Your job is to live each day to the fullest and let us take care of routine daily chores. After all, this is your retirement; you deserve to spend it exactly as you want. Our full activities program includes competitive card and table games, happy hours, live music, fitness classes to boost both your body and brain, Bible study and arts & crafts. You may want to spend your day resuming an old hobby or learning a new one. Perhaps you want to settle in with a good book and a cup of tea in the fireside living room.

We love visiting local restaurants, shops and attractions and this being Idaho’s capital city, there’s certainly plenty to do. Have a special evening at the Boise Philharmonic. Spend the afternoon at the Idaho Aquarium or the Boise Art Museum. Attend wine tastings at local wineries. Wet a hook in the Boise River. If you’re a sports enthusiast, cheer on Boise’s Minor League and semi-pro baseball, hockey and football teams. Shop Capital City Public Market, which features fresh local produce, food and a variety of local artisans. You can be active as much or as little as you choose.

The Comforts of Home and More

You’ll find plenty of comfortable common space to spend time with friends and family, whether it’s in the cozy, home-like living room, inviting community kitchen or any of several common areas that naturally draw people together. Large windows give tremendous natural light throughout the community, giving in an open, airy feel. The landscaped, flower-filled courtyard is perfect for a breath of fresh air or strolling along the pathways shaded by mature trees.

We offer an open and spacious dining room which serves chef-prepared, restaurant-style meals, such as sweet-and-sour brisket, baked cod with olives and limes and chicken cacciatore. A private dining room is available to you for family visits and private parties. There’s also concierge service, a beauty salon/barber shop, arts & crafts studio and guest suites all for your convenience.

Here’s the care available to you

Assisted Living

Assisted living provides a redefined independence through assistance and services like medication management and housekeeping. Your wellness is supported through collaborative care partnerships, and our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Assisted Living

Forget the cliché stories you’ve heard about seniors sitting around falling asleep to sit-com reruns. When you move into a Brookdale assisted living community, you can enjoy a life rich in quality care, genuine friendships and fun activities.

From quality dining to assistance with personal grooming and managing medication, our assisted living communities give you the chance to make the most of your golden years. We welcome and encourage new residents to get involved with activities, which change daily. You’ll also have more time to pursue your passions because we handle the mundane chores, like housekeeping and laundry.

Many of our campuses are conveniently located near restaurants, parks, shopping, hospitals, places of worship and more. Most campuses even offer transportation services, so you can enjoy the perfect combination of quality care and independence.

What is Assisted Living?

Assisted living is designed for seniors who need a little more day-to-day assistance than residents in independent living. These communities often have programs and team members in place who can provide support with everything from assistance with daily living and basic care to recreational activities and transportation.

How Much Does It Cost?

Because every community and every senior is a little different, the price can vary depending on factors like the apartment style you choose and how much help you need throughout the day. That’s why we work together before you arrive to create a custom service plan that meets your specific needs. The best part is that you only pay for the services you need, which means you're likely to find something that fits your needs and your budget.

When Is It Time for Assisted Living?

With their custom service plans, excellent amenities, and opportunities to meet new and interesting people, assisted living communities sound pretty great. Some locations even have general stores, fitness centers, and on-campus beauty and barber shops.

But how do you know when the time is right?

Everyone’s situation is different, but there are a few things you can think through if you're considering assisted living for yourself or a loved one.

What Is Life Like at an Assisted Living Community?

Each resident has their own unique passions, hobbies and interests, so life at an assisted living community looks a little different for each person.

You might want to start your day off with a yoga class before meeting your friends for a delicious breakfast in the dining room. From there, you could attend a painting workshop or tend to your favorite plants in the garden before playing a lively round of Wii bowling or going on an excursion to a local restaurant or boutique.

No matter how you want to enjoy your golden years, we will be here to handle things like cooking, cleaning and laundry, so you can spend more time doing the things you love.

Mary was exceptional from the very beginning of moving our parents to Brookdale, Assisted Living. She was very patient and answered all of our questions, gave thorough updates on availability and has continued to be an incredible asset to all of us! We consider her a friend for life! Medenne and her team have also been exceptional! They genuinely care for our parents and go above and beyond to make them comfortable, happy and know they are a part of the Brookdale family! Brookdale does an amazing job with providing a lively and fun atmosphere. There is lots of laughter, music and fun. The Happy Hour is so nice, and the food is great! We cannot say how happy we are. Thank you!
