I’m sharing this review so others are aware of what I went through. A few months ago, I visited this facility simply seeking help for sleep issues. A nurse advised me to speak with a psychiatrist, which I agreed to. Instead of the support I expected, I ended up being held in psychiatric care for two days under extremely distressing conditions. During that time, I experienced verbal mistreatment and what I would describe as intimidation by staff, including a deeply inappropriate and threatening comment made in reference to my mother by three security guards. The situation escalated to the point where five undercover police officers got involved — this was terrifying and completely unexpected. Despite not having a history of psychosis, I was diagnosed with it — a label that does not reflect my actual mental health, and which I believe was a serious misjudgment. This has had a lasting impact on me emotionally, mentally, and socially. I went in looking for help and came out with trauma. I hope by sharing this, it encourages the facility to reflect on how they treat patients — especially those seeking help in vulnerable moments — and that it helps others make informed decisions.
