The staff are excellent in prioritizing and taking care of the residents. The nurses and CNAs work together. Every time I go to Bridgeport medical Lodge it is a wonderful experience. I would tell anyone if you're looking for a place for your loved one to go, look no further.

We put my wife there for we could not give her the proper care at home. After one day in general population they moved her to memory care lockup, without notifying my Daughte and I. Not even there for one day , her blanket and small bear went missing. We noticed very quickly that ALL of the staff were either on their cell phones or taking cat naps. For cleanliness, I’ve seen cleaner dumpsters. Wow all of this was for only $5300, what a bargain. The food— one night they served a pimento cheese sandwich for dinner, yummy and filling. Meds— we brought her meds for one full month. Next thing I know I get a bill from a local pharmacy for the exact meds we brought. They said they threw them away and got new ones, company policy. I refused to pay the bill. We called on a daily basis, when we were unable to visit, rarely did we get an answer. I feel that by now you may have concerns about this hovel. I shall post another review next month. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m

This place has major staffing issues. I think it's probably the reason for most of the issues we had in my Dads care. He went down hill fast in the very short time he was there. He had at least 5 u.t.i.'s found out they weren't giving him enough water. He had demitia and went in because my Step Mom couldn't pick him up when he would fall. He passed in 10 months. The night he died they told her they put him on oxygen apparently he was showing signs that he was actively dying but no one told her when she called the next morning they said "oh he passed" He deserved so much better. His clothes would disappear and my step Mom did his laundry. His TV disappeared which the family had to supply btw.

I would not recommend this facility. My dad was a resident there for a month - earlier this year. There was rarely anyone at the front desk and the phones were rarely answered. My dad was in the memory care section and I wasn't able to visit as often as I'd like because of COVID-19, but when I did visit, I was devastated. It was such a sad experience. My dad was in his room, which is where he stayed except when it was time to eat. He said that there weren't any scheduled activities so he really had nothing else to do but sit in his room and watch tv. He told me that one of the other residents came in to his room at night and took his snacks and his sodas. The room he was in looked pretty outdated and old and didn't have any decor at all. My dad fell three times while there and had to be taken to the ER. The home would call me to let me know that he had fallen, but they never called to let me know the results of the ER visit. It would take several phone calls before I could get anyone to answer and to let me know what the doctor at the ER said. I was worried about him all day until I was able to speak to a nurse about the ER results. I was only able to visit my dad once due to COVID, but when I did visit, I knew we had to get him out of the facility. It was very depressing. After a 30-day stay, I checked my dad out and we moved him in with me. It was not a pleasant experience for any of us.
