I currently know some one in here and what they are experiencing is awful the staff is not following orders when they tell the doctor the doctor ask them why didn't they tell them ...so the patient suppose to tell the staff to follow doctors orders and if they dont what ? Their machine started going off at 6pm they called and no one came until 9pm so they had to endure the ringing for three hours and than the staff has the nerve to say why the other shift didn't do it so now the game is to put it off on the other ..ind you this person is paralyzed and with no assistance ...I advise anyone if you or your family have to go here please go somewhere else. Update...2/19/2026 i can stress enough do not send family here ... all management hsve to say is sorry ..you have workers who do not care nor want to do their job how do you tell a pt thry are to heavy to turn ... this person is not overweight and if they was you are suppose to turn patients every 2 hours..thry do not postion them in bed correctly ...they give cold food and tell the patient once the food get in their room they cant take it out to reheat What ... i was a CNA and i have seen lazy , goid for nothing workers in mytime but this is crazy this place should but shut down ,... all the equipment is either broke or they dont have it ... this person is suppose to be on a special mattress they are not ....and as i statedbefore this is a paralyzed person ...if you can not take care of people who need it you need to close ... they need better facilities in this city this is awful LCMC/Wjmc ....should not have this facility connected to them at

The care provided here is poor. My mother went here for recovery after her transplant and ankle surgery. The transplant failed. The wound care doctor here did not see her until she was being discharged. I would not recommend anyone to go here for recovery.

I was sent to Bridgepoint by way of University Medical Center (UMC) after having a by-pass surgery on my left leg, and eventually having the tip of my left toe amputated due to infection in the bone which turned my whole body septic! I was placed on strong antibiotics and eventually sent to Bridgepoint to finish the regiment of antibiotic prescribed! While at this facility, I was supposedly to be under the care of Dr. Russo? I Doctor who never physically examined, questioned, or even once talked to me about anything I was subsequently dealing with considering I had just died twice while at UMC? This Doctors lack of intervention with me should be considered Criminal? And I can only imagine the way he treated the people who are deemed incapable of defending their own best interests? I just hope they have family to actually check on them? Bridepoint is a total disgrace!!! MR. JOSEPH C. YOUNG III

Bridge Point Hospital of Marrero: A Little Hospital with Enormous Impact ! Thinking back to the first nurse I was assigned, Nurse Paula, I had never met a person with such through query to assess all my needs in hospital. She made sure I understood what had been afforded me at the hospital. “You can use the phone to order your dinner,” she added, topping off a cold, crunchy ice filled pitcher with refreshing water. “How is your bed?” “Do you need any more pillows”? “Are you comfortable”? Whoa. Rapid fired acknowledgement of what I might feel the need to have before I asked. I loved it. I came to find that the Head Charge Nurse Ms. Tre’ made rounds every night, just to say “hi” and inquire about my care and condition of the day. From day one, despite whom was my assigned nurse, certified nursing assistant, tech, infectious disease specialists, phlebotomist, case manager, in house M.D.s: Crowe, Morris, Patel, and Butler; housekeeping, physical and occupational therapists, the family style cohesion/ patient care collaboration expressed by the Bridge Point staff was second to none. Everyone had a word of encouragement for me. This solidified my belief that not only was Bridge Point interested in providing me quality services to heal my body, but it cared deeply for energizing my spirit of self-efficacy. By daily speaking words of encouragement and hope in my total recovery, I found my month, and a half stay at Bridge Point zoomed by. I faced psychologically many struggles: my kid was in a school bus accident, etc.. Life kept going forward without me. Nonetheless with prayer, I looked forward to the staff rotation schedules with fresh doses of positive vibes. All the staff felt (feels) like family. This culture is so ingrained at Bridge Point; it motivated me to begin to socialize with my fellow patients. At one point, it didn’t feel as if I was in hospital. (Just as a new neighbor over time becomes an old friend), I developed camaraderie with everyone in the environment. My last nurse, Nurse Leslie was phenomenal and compassionate. To sum up my sentiment properly -- the heartbeat of Bridge Point is the caring and determined nature of the staff which embraces and instills hope in patient recovery. Even though, my hospital room was tiny, there was nothing small about the non-traditional family atmosphere and professional medical techniques utilized at Bridge Point Hospital. If a need arises, it will be my pleasure to refer my loved ones to a hospital where everyone literally, works super hard to provide top shelf services consistently with love. Thank God for you, Bridge Point.

Service was good in all aspects. The staff at Bridge Point were always considerate and met my needs quickly and professionally. I felt at home and comfortable. Thanks everyone for letting me reach my goals so be released to go home, knowing you all did a good job to continue with my recovery. Paul Griffin has a good staff and nice work family. He should be proud to be part of Bridge Point and his staff. Thumbs up!! Your truly Gordon Cordes
