As a hospice on-call nurse who goes to many, many facilities across the Fox Valley area (talking from Princeton all the way through Oshkosh and Appleton up to Kaukauna), this is by far one of my favorite facilities. I've worked in SNFs. I can tell when care is top notch. Care here is 5+ stars. The nurses and aides truly put their heart into their work and that's amazing in this day and age. Even to death. Some places in the area (looking at you facility in Oshkosh that I won't name), refuse to take one minute to honor the request of a family whose loved one passed by doing an honor walk as the funeral home takes them out. This place though? They bring me to tears each time. It's the first thing they prep for each time a patient passes. They make sure to give the person they've cared for the same dignity in death that they gave them in life. And they even do this at 2am, 3am. Doesn't matter how late or how early. They gather all available staff and get it done. At a time where care is owning in most places, and facility staff are burnt out due to staff shortages, it is refreshing to see true care being reflected here and after witnessing their quality of care several times over, thought it wise to let the community know if you're looking, here's one place you should strongly consider for your loved one.
