0/0 I have serious concerns about the standard of care at this facility. Staff are instructed to "double brief" residents by placing a pad and a chuck inside one brief, which I believe is not best practice for skin integrity or dignity. Leadership, including Don Preston, prioritizes staff convenience over resident well-being. Preston states they are "protecting patients," but true protection means preventing conditions from worsening. A significant portion of residents here develop pressure injuries/bed sores. This appears related to the facility’s policy of changing incontinent residents only twice per shift, which is inadequate for proper skin care and moisture management. I don't recommend this facility to families or to healthcare professionals who prioritize providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Our family's experience with Brentwood has been very positive so far. From the very beginning, the admissions process was smooth and welcoming thanks to Ms. Treva, the Admissions Director. She was phenomenal-kind, patient, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through each step. Anytime we've had questions or concerns, she has gone above and beyond to make sure we feel informed and supported. Placing a loved one in a facility is never easy, and one thing I've learned is that family involvement is very important. You can't just leave your loved one-you have to stay engaged, visit often, and be present. Like any place, there are stronger and weaker staff members, but overall, we've had a great experience with the team here. We truly appreciate the care, attention, and compassion that many of the staff show to our loved one. It gives us peace of mind knowing they are in a place where people genuinely care.

I would rate this facility below zero if I could. My father passed away in the hospital in February after developing sepsis due to what I believe was neglect of his catheter care at this facility. He was on a feeding tube and became severely dehydrated, which raises serious concerns about whether he was receiving adequate nutrition and hydration. His overall care was deeply troubling. My father was diabetic, yet his skin was not properly maintained his feet were peeling, his lips were extremely chapped to the point of cracking and bleeding, and his face appeared unwashed for days, becoming raw and irritated. No patient should ever be left in that condition. My father passed away on February 20, 2026, and since then, I have not received a single word of condolence from this facility. No one has reached out regarding his belongings or offered any follow-up communication. The lack of compassion and accountability is unacceptable. In addition, the facility itself was consistently unclean and had a strong, unpleasant odor every time I visited. Staff were difficult to reach, and there was little to no follow-through on concerns or requests. I strongly urge others not to place their loved ones in this facility. Based on my experience, the level of care, communication, and professionalism is extremely poor.

I have seen to events with this group of people and both where amazing. The staff treated all the residents so good. I was impressed. Also impressed with the amount of love I saw given to each resident. It felt like one big family. So amazing.

KATHY GILLIAM MAY 2024 All and all I truly had a good stay. After being home a few days, I wish I could have stayed. If wasn't for my 2 furbabies or spending my son's his inherent. I WOULD RATHER GO BACK. I CAN'T SPEAK FOR ALL THERE. THEY HAVE IMPROVED IT SO MUCH BETTER THAN WHEN I WAS IN THERE IN 2013. HOPE THIS WILL MAKE THEM TO MAKE IT A 5 STAR.
