My mother-in-law had dementia, and couldn't be living alone anymore, and we toured a few places. She liked Brandywine. The assisted living side was very nice. She had an apartment with a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and a kitchenette with room for a dining table. Very nice. Good courtyard, daily activities (especially bingo!) and a very nice dining room.<br><br>Speaking of the dining room, they have a two page menu. The left side is always the same, with omelettes, sandwiches, salad, chicken, fish, etc. Good comfort food. The right side changes daily and has a more elaborate entree, with appetizer and dessert. The food has always been tasty and good.<br><br>There's also a small library, a bistro (really just a room with a coffee machine and pastries), and a theater with a large screen, and movie theater like seating.<br><br>When needed, my MIL moved into the memory care section. The apartment was now a studio. The same food is available, but due to diminished cognitive ability they just ask which entree you'd like. The rest of the menu is available if you ask for it. At this stage, they are more concerned with people wandering out, so the door is locked. You will need an aide to open the door to leave. Family can come and go, but the resident has to stay in the memory care section. They also have to keep a closer eye on the residents for safety.<br><br>On the whole, we are very happy with Brandywine. The people who run things are very friendly and accommodating, and the other residents are happy to make new friends.

I moved my MIL to Brandywine from PA. It was a long rollercoaster ride of issues to get her here. Julie was so helpful and patient with the entire process. My MIL has loved it since day 1! The staff is like family and she has made so many new friends. I sleep much better knowing she is happy and well taken care of.

My mom is a resident in the memory care unit, and I truly can’t say enough about the incredible care she receives. The staff consistently go above and beyond to help loved ones adjust to their new home with patience and compassion.<br>The rooms are spotless and beautifully updated, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The nursing staff makes a genuine effort to keep families informed and treat each resident like their own family member. The management team has supported us every step of the way, and the sales director, Julie, has been exceptionally helpful. Her compassion for the residents is evident in everything she does.<br>I struggled with the decision of whether to keep my mom at home, but choosing Brandywine Mountain Ridge has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

My Mom has been a resident at Brandywine for about 7 months. The staff has been caring, attentive, and most of all extremely patient as my Mom had some psychological issues when she first moved in. The resident doctor and psychologist treated her and she's a brand new person. She participates in all the activities and really enjoys them. She loves the food as well. She couldn't be happier. Thank you to all the staff!

My mom has recently moved into Brandywine and the move in process was so smooth. The staff is so caring for my mom and very attentive. We are ultimately happy with our decision to move her to Brandywine!
