My father is receiving care here after being released from the hospital. He has been treated with kindness and respect by the staff. Upon admission, while I was visiting, we met with numerous departments to assess and become familiar with my dad and me. It felt like they really cared about helping dad receive the most support and best care.

If i could give a 1/2 star i would. The only person whom deserved a star is Samantha the Social Worker I had my 93 grandmother transfer from the hospital to Boca Ciega, her weight was 130, in less than 2 month she is down to 117, i asked the staff to take her to the dinning room so they can monitor her while she eats, and this was never done, they would placed her tray in the room and not monitor her intake, she had her toe nails almost in her skin i asked the nurse his name i cant recalled it was like "leroy" or somelike that, to see if it could be cut, he said that the podiatrist do this and he would put a order in, this never happend, i had to do it! She also has a dry dark spot on her hand he said it was a bruise cause by the anticuabulant i know anticuabulants do this, but it was not a bruise it was a dry skin fungus looked like, i told him she is been in this meds for over 10 years and she never had that on her skin he told me to google it! She also smatched her fingers trying to enter the showers ( she was left alone) ,In lots of times her bed was wet ( orine ) and her dipper dry, meaning she got up went and chanhed her pull up by herself, either they checked by asking if she need changing and she she said no, or they just dont do it often enought. We walk in and is door of residents opened with residents in bed in diappers no privacy They under stafffed and they are not organized at all. You ask a nurse to help and they send you all around looking for the person in charge of that floor, since is only one person who those bed changing ( thats what it seen to me ) The place smells awful since you walk in, and is people all over the place. If you have the resorces dont take your love ones to this place, look for alternative.

I had an excellent experience working with Rose in the admissions department. She was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. She made a stressful situation so much easier by clearly explaining every step and making sure all of our questions were answered. Her professionalism and genuine care for residents and families really stand out. I highly recommend this facility, especially thanks to Rose and the wonderful admissions team!

My sister is receiving care at Boca Ciega after being released from the hospital. The facility is clean, the staff is wonderful and she is receiving really good care. She has been to other facilities which were newer and got good care there too. They serve a diverse population and are kind, competent & professional. They answer your questions, they are extremely patient with persons with dementia and with anxious hand wringing family members. Unless you have ever cared for someone with dementia you have no idea how demanding it can be. They answer the call buttons faster than any other place sis has been and they show up with a smile. As with many places dealing with the frail & failing bodies, things can get messy-sometimes in short order after they have been cleaned up. I trust them to do the best they can as quickly as they can in a safe, caring and dignity preserving fashion. God bless everyone there!

Only gave it a one star because I had to leave a review. This was a disgusting place. No care for the patients/residents. When my husband and I went to see my brother there was a God awful odor in the hall I almost threw up. When we entered my brothers room he was exposed and completely wet his linens as well. We asked them to clean him up and noticed my brother was not himself. They kept assuring me this was his norm. I could see his right hand going limp and suspected he was having a stroke. I asked the nurse to call 911 they tried to talk me out of it saying this is his typical behavior. I insisted we have him taken to the hospital the administrator contacted my other brother and Sister to get them to change my mind. We did take him to the hospital he was having another stroke. My brother passed soon after. Please be careful with your loved ones that are there.
